Martinez Elementary School PTO (2011-2012)

Welcome Back to Martinez Elementary

The PTO's mission is to promote open communication and understanding between the parents and staff of Martinez Elementary School. Our efforts serve to enhance and maximize the education of every child while aiding them in achieving their highest potential. The PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in classroom setting, holds fund-raisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and promotes parents’ involvement and interest through various activities. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Do you ever wonder what your PTO does? Here are some of the things that PTO has helped organize for Martinez Elementary School.

Provided “Smart Boards” for each classroom.

Partially funded the new playground equipment.

Provides start up money for each teacher each school year.

Helps to maintain the school grounds.

Purchased supplemental materials for the new reading program.

Contributes to class and grade projects as needed.

Purchased listening centers for each classroom.

Organizes Family Nights and fun after school events and fundraisers.

Upcoming Events

CANDYGRAMS! Fundraiser
FEBRUARY 6-10TH. Support your school and show your child some love, Mom and Dad! Buy a CandyGram between Feb 6 and Feb 10. or have your child buy one for a friend! They will be delivered on Valentine's Day.

Chocolate and Candles Fundraiser
Kick off will begin February 14th and end on Feb 29th! Students will get incentives, earn prizes and awards for item sold.

March 23! Family Night is BINGO NIGHT!
Join us and bring the family and friends for BINGO at MES! Enjoy playing the game, prizes will be awarded for our BINGO winners! Pizza, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase!

Monthly Fundraisers
It's an easy way for you to support MES. Eat at Stevie B's on designated Monday's of every month and a contribution will be made to our school! The more students that participate the more Money that will be put into our classrooms to help support teachers and students!

Clip your BOX TOPS!
Here we go! Martinez is on a mission! Look through your pantry, clip all the box tops you can. Have Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, cousins, friends and friends of friends all clip and save their BOX TOPS! Then send them all into school with your child! We want to reach a goal of $2000 worth of BOX TOPS to go to our school and we need your help! Thanks to all our families!

Martinez Elementary PTO always needs volunteers with the many events planned. Please contact the volunteer coordinator and let her know we can count on you for help. Keep checking back for news on special events and ways to volunteer, for as little as 20 minutes at a time, at MES! We need you!
