This is the new website for the Moon River Dancers, Chapter 6069, of the National Organization USA Dance. We are dedicated to promoting the quality & quantity of ballroom dance in the United States.

NATIONAL MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to improve the quality and the quantity of ballroom dancing in the United States.

UPCOMING EVENTS

FEBUARY SATURDAY BEGINNER LESSON

The Febuary beginner lesson will be Saturday, Febuary 4th from noon-1:00 PM at the Butterfly Ballroom at 7215 Seawright Dr. Students can call 912-356-3623 if you need directions. The lesson will be Bolero. The cost will be $5.00.

FEBRUARY MONTHLY DANCE

Hello Fellow Dancers!

Unfortunately, for the month of February, we have had a scheduling conflict with the Frank G Murray Community Center, and consequently will NOT be having our dance this month. However, we look forward to seeing you all at our Spring dance this March on Saturday the 24th. Again, admission is $7 for members and $10 for non-members.

Also, if you are available this Saturday, February the 11th, the USA Dance/Moon Rivers group has been asked to demo at the Savannah Mall (in the center of the mall near the food court) from 11:30AM-noon. Please come out and show your support as we teach a basic Cha Cha lesson and have a mini Cha Cha expo at the end. Thanks everyone! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send us an email.

Monthly Basic Dance Lesson/Location

THERE WILL NOT BE A DECEMBER BASIC LESSON

2011 Schedule Below - all lessons in 2011 will be one hour long, not two hours long. Lesson will cover one style of dance.

August 6th- Swing

September 10th - Salsa

October 8th - Foxtrot

November 5th- Waltz

No class in December

Cost: $5 per person.
Beginners and singles are welcome.

Monthly Dance Lesson/Location

NOVEMBER MONTHLY DANCE

The DECEMBER Monthly Dance will be Saturday the 17th, 2011 at the Frank G. Murray Community Center 160 Whitemarsh Island Rd Savannah, GA. There will be an intermediate RUMBA lesson from 7:00 to 8:00 followed by dancing until 10:30 pm. For USA Dance members, the cost is $10 single, $15 couples; and for non-members $15 single, $20 couples. If you can, bring finger foods and snacks to share, it is greatly appreciated. Savannah Salsa
Each Tuesday night, 7:00 at Tantra Lounge (8 East Broughton Street). Dance lesson from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. ($10 Charge)
Open dancing begins at 8:00.
