  Sight Word Homework

From the sight word activity list below, choose one activity each night and work on the week’s words for about 5-10 minutes. Record what you have done at home. We will collect the sight word homework sheet on Friday.
    Sight Word Homework Choices
  1. Rainbow words: Trace the words with 3 different colors of crayons.
  2. Clap and chant the letters out loud for each word.
  3. Write the words in the bathtub with shaving cream.
  4. Write the words in marker.
  5. “Air” draw the words to an adult. Write them on mom or dad’s back and have them guess (or vice versa). Have them say the letters as they write.
  6. An adult makes flashcards for the words and flashes the word to the child. The child has to say the word, then spell it.

Discipline Procedures

Hannan has a schoolwide discipline plan that is very beneficial to students. Students know that no matter what class, teacher, or grade, they will have to abide by the same rules. Students start off each day with 20 points for their conduct grade. Students can lose points accordingly by breaking the rules. Please see a copy of the rules in the school calendar. If the offense is deemed to be severe, I have the discretion to deduct multiple points.
For each point lost, the child will lose 5 minutes of recess or free time. If the child continues to lose points, the child will be brought before the grade level discipline support team. If the child is brought to the discipline team more than three times, they are referred to the office and then the Student Support Team.
  • Please sign and return this sheet every day in the homework folder!
Hannan Academy Mission Statement: Hannan Academy and the Muscogee County School District are committed to providing educational experiences that will enable each student to become a lifelong learner, enter the workforce with necessary skills, and achieve academic and personal potential.
