Northwestern Middle School PTA: 2007-2008

Welcome to the
Northwestern Middle School PTA!

To act as a support system to school administration, staff, students, and parents implementing and assisting with those programs and services which benefit our children.

To effectively communicate to all PTA members the activities of the PTA, associated issues affecting our children, and an accountability of funds raised and distributed.

To provide an environment that fosters informed discussion/debate of those issues that affect our children and communicate a unified position on pertinent issues to those organizations responsible for decision making.

FREE MONEY! That's right, free money for our school when you clip and send in General Mills "Box Tops for Education" official coupons. These Box Tops coupons are located on a wide variety of products including General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Gold Medal, Ziploc, and Old El Paso brands. We collect 10 cents for each "Box Top" coupon we submit. Although it doesn't sound like much, it really adds up and could mean hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Box Tops For Education

The money collected by our school will be used for our Outreach programs such as Empty Stocking and holiday assistance for our own Northwestern families in need.What a great way to help others and the amount we can give is up to you. Just cut and send in with your student throughout the year. A collection box is located within the school for your submissions. Enrichment Fund and PTA Membership

Please consider contributing to the Student Enrichment Fund. This money is used to staff the clinic, support academic and cultural arts programs as well as other PTA sponsored events.

The Enrichment Fund is the only fundraiser PTA sponsors - no wrapping paper, candy or other sales. If the goal is not met, PTA may have to have a fundraiser to support these programs. All contributions are tax deductible. You may print a membership form directly from our website or pick it up in the front office.

At the same time, please consider becoming a member of the PTA. Our goal is to have each parent become a member. The cost is $6 and we encourage moms and dads to both join. You may sign up on the same form as Student Enrichment.

If you are not currently receiving legislative updates and would like to, please send an email with your email address spelled out and your name to nwlegislative@bellsouth.net.

Also, please remember to update us if your email address changes, otherwise you may be dropped from the distribution.
