Welcome to Ms. Willis' First Grade News for the Week of November 9, 2009
Muscogee County's Mission Statement: The Muscogee County School District is committed to providing educational experiences that will enable a student to become a lifelong learner, enter the work force with necessary skills and achieve academic and personal potential.
Please remember changes in our Breakfast Program, the cafeteria will begin serving breakfast at 8:15 until 8:45, students should not arrive at school before 8:15 unless they attend the Before-School Program.
Children arriving to school after 8:45 are considered tardy and must report to the office to receive an admission slip to class. When your child is absent from school, please remember to send an excuse or the absence is unexcused.
Please remember to check your your child's Homework/Conduct Folders each night for homework assignments and their Daily Points Earned. Homework is to be completed each day and returned the following day in student folders. Also, please review and discuss with your child his/her daily conduct grade, sign in the appropriate space,the folder should be returned the following day. Don't forget to complete and sign the Reading Log!!!

Spelling - Spelling Sentences / Using Capital Letters & Ending Marks correctly
TUESDAY - Read for ten minutes
Spelling - Spelling Word Search
Writing - Write ONE sentence about Veteran's Day
WEDNESDAY - Veteran's Day / School Holiday
Read for ten minutes
THURSDAY - Read for ten minutes
Spelling - Study for FRIDAY'S test
Be sure your Reading Log and Daily Conduct Report are signed
FRIDAY - Read some GOOD books and have a GREAT weekend!!!

This year Hannan students wearing their school uniforms every Monday through Thursday will receive special recognition each week on our morning broadcast and in their classroom newsletter. We are looking for Hawks wearing their navy or white shirts with khaki bottms. Remember Friday students may wear jeans and a Hannan T-shirt!Congratulations to the following students for wearing their uniforms for the week of November 2nd: Antonio, Alan, Jordynn,Zinnia, Marquese, TyTianna, and Anyjalice!
