Frances Allen Email Me
Date Entered: 10/4/01 - I bought a house in Bethlehem, Ga. I have lots of animals and just love the country. I am a Business Account Manager for Verizon Wireless. I truly miss all the good times and friends back in Parkview. I wish that I knew then what I now!

Gina Allen (Terry) Email Me
Date Entered: 4/30/02 - Flash back: 1982 and for some insane reason I decided to graduate a quarter early…what I wouldn’t give for a whole high school quarter of PHS study halls just to pass the time… Anyway, I worked for $ for tuition at Mars Hill College, following the presumably wise footsteps of PHS graduates before me. There I majored in theatre and music ed., met a theology major and dated faithfully for 3 years only to be scorned and fall in love my senior year with a psychology major and wildly elope (now there’s a story) with the now love of my life of 16+years, Chris Terry. From there we finished school and made NC our home and our life has been an adventure of teaching (me, public school music, drama and dance, he, snow skiing and aviation) and learning (me, graduate school at East Carolina University in Administration/Supervision, he, various levels of flight training and aviation management) and, as have most of you, PARENTING.... We moved to from the mountains, to the coast, to the piedmont area of NC; I worked as an elementary Assistant Principal and Chris worked in air cargo and charter. At the present, I have been promoted to SAHM to our blue-eyed, energetic boys, Chandler Allen, age four, and Cameron Keith, who will be one in July. Chris is now flying a Citation Jet for NASCAR’s Jeff Burton and we appreciate his responsibilities as a corporate pilot and being part of the racing community (GO #99!!!!) We enjoy a quiet life in Statesville, north of Charlotte, NC, where we are active in our church, blessed with good friends, and enjoy being a family. My favorite memories of Parkview are four years of Drill Team, High School Dances, Friday Night Football Games, Weekends at Stone Mountain, and cultivating important friendships (some that last to this day!!) with great people of this world like Dana, Todd and Kevin -- I love you guys! ;-) It has been a real treat to become reconnected with many of you through this virtual planning session for our 20-year reunion. I am looking forward to September and seeing all of you!

Date Entered: 11/20/01 - It's been fun to see what everyone's been up to for the past 20 years. How did you guys get so old, anyway? (just kidding) I live in Winchester, VA (4 years) with my wonderful husband (Harlan) and my beautiful daughter, Morgan (8 years old), frequently visited by my stepdaughter Casey (10 years old). I’m the Director of Marketing for a cabinet company and enjoy the challenging lifestyle of working & spending time with my wonderful family and great friends. My main account is Home Depot based in Atlanta, so I see my family in GA often. Favorite high school memories are Mr. Z’s class (with Elise & Gina), football season and Thursday night Drill Team practice with my dad running around the track. Looking forward to seeing everyone in September!

We have 3 terrific kids: Jeffrey (8), Chase (5), and Tori (2). I had a great career for 16 years, (thanks in part to Parkview's Vocational Center's drafting program). I few years ago I semi-retired to do part-time contract work designing custom residential floor plans. We moved to Cumming (John's Creek area) 3 years ago. My favorite high school memories are the Friday night football games & the post game hangout at Burger King. I am thankful for the friendships I made at Parkview and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next September.

Date Entered: 9/11/02 - I have enjoyed reading over the updates posted to the web site. So many of you seem truly happy with your lives. It also seems that too many have lost a loved one or had to overcome some formidable burden. My thoughts for a peaceful recovery go out to each those individuals. Having moved west shortly after graduation, I have lived more of my life in California than in Georgia. I still refer to myself, however, as a southerner. When I first arrived, I was appalled that there were no Krispy Kremes. I actually pursued opening a franchise in 1983 and everyone told me I was crazy. I’m not letting Chic-fil-A pass me by. I moved to Sacramento (taught aerobics), moved to Tahoe (pretended to ski), worked for Club Med (missed home too much), then landed in San Francisco in ‘84. I began working in the advertising industry and quickly moved into film production. I met my husband, a gaffer on set, in 1995. For the last several years I have been a freelance commercial producer. I am developing a business plan for launching my own production company in the near future. My husband, Jan, recently retired from the film industry to renovate our warehouse in the city and to focus on his artwork in welding recycled materials. He has an eleven-year old son named Schuyler, who is the most well mannered child in California (if I do say so myself). We treasure trips to Italy where we hope to live someday soon. Fond memories…Mrs. Perdue, Kem Wheeler. Regrets…skipping school to go to McDonalds instead of museums.

I have 2 beautiful boys, Parker (08/20/96) and Patrick (01/28/00). In 1997, I opened my own business. This gives me the freedom to spend a lot of time with my family. Date Entered: 11/2/01 - Alot can happen in 20 years! After graduating, I spent my first three years in the Journalism program at UGA. The summer after my Junior year, I went on a missions trip to San Diego, Ca with the BSU. There I met my wonderful husband, Rich Clark (who was the keyboard player in a local Christian rock band). I skipped my last year of college, moved to SD, got married and had our first son, Ben (7/86). We decided together for Rich to join the Air Force and have been in the service since. We spent our first five years in Las Vegas, NV where Rachel (3/89) and Abby (8/91) were added to our family. From there we were sent to Germany for four years and added TJ (6/94) and Stephen (1/96). Next we were transferred to the Washington DC area (Andrews AFB where the President lands aboard AF1!) where we've been for the last six years. Here we've added Grace (11/97), Mariah (7/99) and Ethan (10/01). Ethan was born less than a month after the Sept 11th tragedy. Thankfully, none of our friends at the Pentagon were harmed, although several worked just FEET from the impact area! (Biggest memory-having our 15 pass. "family van" searched coming on base WHILE in labor the day Ethan was born, having to get out of the van...!) We're active in our church here (Fellowship Baptist). Yes, we have EIGHT children-all ours by birth, no twins, closest spacing 18 mos. (Yes, I "have my hands full!") We only meant to have 2, maybe 4, but when your kids are as fabulous as ours its hard to stop! I worked in the early years of our marriage (mainly in administrative type positions-two years for one of the large casino/hotels in Vegas!), but have been busy "administrating" the family for the last 11 years as a SAHM. We're hoping to be transferred further south next year to live closer to family. My hobby is taking "Mommy time" to go scrapbooking with my girlfriends, where I work on all those beautiful pictures of my kids! Vivid memories of HS: choir (my dh and I are both still in choir), being Mrs. Funderburk's house keeper (wish *I* had one now!), good friends: John Deters and the black Monte Carlo he wrecked that we drove to school in daily, Barbara P., Tracey J, Rhonda, Nancy, and others. I look forward to seeing everyone in Sept!

Had another precious daughter in June 1989, Brittany. I spent some time in the Navy Reserves, worked various odd jobs, and graduated from Middle Georgia College (Cochran - GA) in 1994 with a degree in nursing. (I know, the one who was terrified of needles became a nurse, go figure..hehe) I worked in the hospital setting for a short while, and spent 7 years working in home health. Sadly, we lost our oldest daughter, Christaine, last November from complications of the terrible disease Diabetes. Losing a child is the single toughest event I have ever endured. Only by the grace of God have we been able to function after such a loss. We recently moved to Clarkesville in the North Georgia Mountains. I am now a Public Health RN at our local health department, which I find very challenging as well as rewarding. God blessed us with our first grandchild earlier this year (Kelly and her husband Phillip had their first child) - Dalton. He is so special. Yes, I am the hippest Nana that ever walked the face of the earth! It is wonderful to be a grandparent so young! Memories of High School....band trips, football games, flag corps, seeing how many people we could cram into "The Bomb" (the infamous 1968 Ford station wagon with paneling on the sides) and cruise around Stone Mountain, and just "hanging out" with all of my friends...there are too many to name. Date Entered: 5/24/02 - It is hard to believe it has been 20 years!! I went to North Georgia College after graduation, stayed one year, came home and married Butch Latimer (class of'79). I finished my undergraduate degree at Georgia State and went on to get my Masters at Mercer. I taught school for a couple of years before our first daughter arrived and have since been a stay at home mom. We have three daughters, Bethany (4/30/88), Kristen (1/28/91) and Tara (6/15/92). I have stayed busy volunteering at church and school, playing tennis, running, etc. My girls keep me very busy with their activities, but I would not trade it for anything.

I retired in December 1997 & started my own art, design & jewelry business. We live and play in the Parkview area and love it. Can't wait to see everyone!

Date Entered: 5/23/02 - After graduating from UGA in March of 1986 with a BBA, I went to work for Arthur Andersen in Atlanta. I married Amy Herrington from Swainsboro, GA after meeting her in a college economics class (where laughed at all the big words the professor was using). Our daughter Avery was born on March 5, 1992. God led Amy, Avery and me to Dallas and a new position at Ernst & Young during the summer of 1994. (What a good move that turned out to be in light of Enron and Arthur Andersen!) Our daughter Wesley was born March 20, 1996. God continues to bless our family everyday. The girls are both little entertainers, singing and dancing around the house. When we can get her to sit down, Avery works the piano. Avery loves basketball and volleyball, while Wesley is a "soccer girl." The both go to gymnastics. Bottom line, neither of them have time to play golf with me. Amy st! ays busy managing the girls social and activity calendars. In addition, she directs children's choir at Valley Ranch Baptist Church. Any extra time she has, she spends in the garden in our back yard. When I am not playing with the girls, playing golf or working, I teach our age group in Sunday bible study.

Date Entered: 8/21/02 - I took the 5-year plan at UGA. Graduated with a BBA in Finance. Married a Yankee from Pittsburgh in June, 1990. We have a number one son named Matthew (5/1/96). We moved to Dacula back in 1999. If you had told me I would move to Dacula back during my Parkview years, I'd have laughed really hard - but we actually love it. It's much like Lilburn was 20 years ago. As far as high school memories, I used to get a kick out of skipping to go to McDonald's for lunch with Wanda Vaughn. However, it wasn't such a kick when Sharon Byrd and I got caught in the school parking lot - skipping and (drinking?) No way!

Date Entered: 7/22/02 - My husband, Mike, and I have been married since 1985 and have two handsome boys, Kyle (6/28/90) and Shane (7/23/92). We have lived in Dacula for the last 12 years and are members of Hebron Baptist Church. I attended and graduated from West Georgia College and began work in the corporate world. After the hustle and bustle for nine years, I decided to stay at home and be mother to my two boys for the last ten. I currently am a medical transcriptionist and work from home. I have also been an independent consultant for PartyLite Candles for the last six years. We spend most of our time at the ballpark and love every minute of it. My best school memory is our Senior Trip to Daytona Beach with Dana Harlin, Monica McNaughton and Joyce Britt. Dana and I still hang out and my husband, Mike, had the opportunity to coach her son, Chad, in baseball this past spring.

Date Entered: 8/21/02 - After graduating High School, I attended college, then, joined the work force full time as an Engineering / Underwriting Assistant for an Insurance company. After 10 years the company went through downsizing and offered severance packages to anyone interested. I decided to take the package and try something different. I then went to work for a retail development company (strip malls) as a Property Manager. After two years of driving from Norcross to Perimeter the drive was not worth so I went back to work for the same Insurance company but this time in the Claims Department. Another company offered me a position in claims and decided to take it. I received my Claim Adjusters license. Then the company closed their Atlanta office and eventually closed the entire company. I am now working for another Insurance Company as a Claims Manager. During this time I met and married the man of my hopes and dreams. He is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. He is my entire life. Last August I had a stroke due to a rare blood disorder that I have had all my life and was not aware of it. I was at work when I could not speak and the left side of my face and my left arm went numb. By the time I went to the doctor, I was speaking normal and the numbness was gone. The doctors misdiagnosed me and first as having a migraine. I had 2 MRI's after the incident just as a precaution. The MRI's showed that I had a stroke. The neurologist had numerous tests ordered on my blood and found that my blood clots too much (called Resistance to Activated Protein C). I will be taking coumadin (a blood thinner) for the rest of my life. I am very, very, very lucky. I have pretty much healed on my own with the exception of having some short term memory loss and I am getting better every day. I thank God for my helping me through this and for my Husband Tim for being by my side every moment. I have so many memories of High School that I could not even begin to name all of them!!!

Date Entered: 8/26/02 - Twenty years since graduation? How can that possibly be? When did I get to be that old?!? I'm sorry that I won't be able to make it to the reunion, but I hope that you guys (I live in the north now and have a difficult time saying y'all) have a great time. I will certainly be there with you in spirit! I moved to Michigan four years ago this past June. I met a great guy from here, Jay, and couldn't resist - although I swore that I would never leave Atlanta! Jay and I have been dating for four and half years. We met in Chattanooga, Tennessee in December of 1998. We started dating the following January and I moved to Michigan in June! Wow - that was fast. I never thought I would say this, but I love it here now! I've been exposed to lots of new things like snow (lots of it) from November to March, learning to shoot (Jay is a big hunter) and I've taken up golf! We have great friends and now I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I am fortunate that I get back to Atlanta often to see my parents and my sister, Paula, who is married and has three great kids - Mallory who is 8, Grace who is six and Avery who is four. Mallory & Grace both attend Camp Creek Elementary and think it's cool that I went to the schools right next door! Since moving to Adrian, I've become involved in many activities. I served on the Board for the local Girl Scout Council. I am also involved in fundraising for the local Croswell Opera House which is on the registry of historic places. If any of you are hunters, you might have heard of an organization called Pheasants Forever - I am secretary of our local chapter. I am also involved with the local American Cancer Society's Relay for Life on their steering committee. It makes me very proud to be a part of this because our community raised the most funds for a community their size and additionally, because Gwinnett County also raised the most funds for a community their size! I'm most proud of my affiliation with this organization as I feel it is a tribute to our classmate, Tony Eberhardt. As you know, Tony last his battle with cancer about ten years ago. But through this effort I am able to do something that Tony can't do any longer and that is to fight cancer! Again, sorry that I missed the reunion. I will be there next time for sure - hopefully, there will be a 25th reunion. Special thanks to all those key in planning - especially Susan Green Lee. What an asset she has been. Take care and keep in touch!

Date Entered: 8/8/02 - I graduated from Ga. Tech in 1987 and went to work for Pepsi-Cola and then Tropicana. I met and married Chris in Jacksonville, Florida in 1992. We have two daughters, Taylor 11 years old and Lauren 6 years old. Two of the most beautiful and sweetest girls you'll ever meet. They are the joy of my life. We have since moved to Denver Colorado where I work for the software provider, JD Edwards (or as we say in the industry - solution provider, but who really buys that). My girls keep me very busy with dance classes, Girls Scouts, etc., but I have found time to take up biking, with the rest of the Colorado population, and have started swimming again. I was converted to a Parrothead in junior college in Florida and have been to at least one Buffet concert a year since 1983. It’s hard to pick a favorite high school moment because it seemed to go by so fast. But, if I had to pick a memory, it would be to finding out what the latest thing Dru Wilbur had gotten himself into. That was always good for a smile…
