Security blankets for children...
They say the one inexhaustible natural resource is love. Project Linus, a program whereby volunteers hand-make security blankets for sick and traumatized children, is certainly proving that theory as this unique charity work spread quickly through the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, it's family and friends as well as caring community individuals and organizations. LM Aero first met Linus, so to speak, when Marietta's Sandy Koch, read an article about the program and soon afterward, co-worker, Marleen Manley, asked company management to sponsor a Marietta chapter. The team soon extended beyond the company...to their family and friends and caring residents and organizations in Georgia, Texas, and California. Marleen and Sandy have been co-coordinators of the NW Atlanta Chapter of Project Linus since January, 2000.
