From the seven hills of Rome to the subars of Atlanta, the city of Valdosta and Azalea City. All found by Quota's Caring & Sharing in Georgia-- reaching out to help disadvantaged women and children, those with hearing loss. We professional women and men Who have the expertise and the "Hussar" To MAKE A DIFFERENCE! (cheer written by Nancy Collins)

Thanks to all those who attended our 73rd District 8 Conference in Valdosta, GA. Quota International of Valdosta did a wonderful job of hosting. Below are the different clubs represented at the meeting.

Events In District 8


Club President Sondra Wilkins models a casual fall outfit.


Quota International of Rome presented its Annual Style Show and Luncheon Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Coosa Country Club. The luncheon began at noon and included a Silent Auction. The luncheon was $25 which included a $10 tax-deductible donation. The Rome Club is currently planning this annual event to be held August 20, 2011. Watch for details!


Winners from Valdosta's Got Talent 2009


Quota International of Valdosta is busy planning for their upcoming 2nd Annual "Valdosta's Got Talent". The event will take place Saturday, September 18th at the VHS Performing Arts Center from 7-9pm. Tickets are $10 to get in and all proceeds go to benefit Children's Advocacy Center and Mission Point.

 
Recent Happenings in District 8


Nancy & Andrew



Quota International of Rome Ga, Inc. presented a $1000 Scholarship to Myrie “Andrew” Henderson at Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Spring, GA. Sondra Wilkins, President presented the scholarship. Andrew gave a moment of inspiration and was also the recipient of the Spivey Family Scholarship and the Jesse Forbes Jones scholarship. He is a whiz at computers and has been accepted by Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. This scholarship is funded by a Fashion Show which will be held on August 21, 2010 at Coosa Country Club and will feature fashions by Reese’s Fashion Gallery of Calhoun, GA. The money raised also benefits Star House, Open Door Home, Boys & Girls Club, Hospitality House.

QI of Valdosta recently gave away $4,000.00 to Children's Advocacy Center, Mission Point and Southside Recreation Center after their 15th Annual Taste of Valdosta.


QI of Azalea City


In recognition of Quota Cares Month, the local Quota of the Azalea City Club made knot blankets during their March meeting. It was a way to include fellowship between the members at the meeting while participating in a worthwhile project for the elderly. The blankets were taken to the Heritage Healthcare of Valdosta.


QI of Northside Atlanta helped Mariah Ransom attend the Deaflympics.


Felicia Robertson draws the winner in QIV's recent Crus'in For Charity Raffle

QI of Valdosta and QI of Azalea City recently had a raffle to raise money for Felicia Robertson, a local woman who has 9 children and recently found out she has breast cancer. With no insurance medical bills began to build. With the raflle they were able to raise $3,000.00
