This week we have loads of material to cover in our fifth grade year in school.

We are busy working, studying, and learning something every day. We realize that this is a very important journey of new knowledge that we are embarking on and we all need to cooperate and participate.

REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK: February 6-10, 2012

It is important to be extremely quiet as we move throughout the building!!

Our two classes are visiting the Computer Lab on Monday and Tuesday mornings and using Study Island to work on weak areas.

    PTA Open House is Thursday.

African American projects were due last week.

Tutoring takes place on Wednesday and Thursday.

Don't forget on Wednesday and Friday to bring or wear athletic shoes for PE.

Uniforms are to be worn to school on Monday-Thursday.

Thursday is class library visitation day, too!

In Math we are still practicing and applying problem solving strategies, multiplying and dividing decimals, exploring fractions, percentages and beginning to learn about measurement.

Mapskills, Citizens'rights, the Constitution, the Civil War, Reconstruction, and the changes that our country undergoes at the turn of the century are the topics that we are continuing to examine in Social Studies.

We are also working and learning Cooperative group skills.
