Bienvenidos a la clase de la señora Smith (Kindergarten - Second grade)
It is with great pleasure that I will be assisting your children with their studies of the Spanish language. I am native of Mexico, and Spanish is beautiful and exciting to me. English is my second language, so I understand the challenges and great advantages of being bilingual. There are many different countries to visit and many wonderful people to meet. Did you know that Spanish is the most widely spoken language in the western hemisphere?
Of course, to learn a new language you must study and remember a lot. You must also learn to just speak and write whatever you can from the beginning, as if you were an infant or young child- this process is vital.
It is alright if students do not make sense at first. Just imagine how you learned English when you were a baby; the process is very similar but there are also assignments and evaluations.
In fact, games and songs are great ways to learn other languages.
