PTO Goals/Past Accomplishments 2011-2012
Our Goal for this year is to raise enough money to purchase an electronic sign for the front of the school.
Accomplishments and Goals for 2010-11
In spite of the tough economic times, PTO was able to raise $6,000 over the school year last year.
Some of our accomplishments included:
Contributed toward the recovering of the furniture in the Media Center.
Purchased a new washer and dryer for the cafeteria.
Purchased assorted AR party supplies and prizes throughout the school year.
Purchased gardening items to be installed in the many gardens throughout the WES campus.
Purchased the Weekly Readers and Scholastic Readers for teachers to use with their students.
Provided an option for an extra field trip for all grade levels.
Purchased new curtains for the stage in the cafeteria.
New playground equipment to replace the wooden castle that was removed a few years ago.
New microphone for Westy's World Morning News Show.
Student council and Happy Listener t-shirts.
New AVN system for the school. Allows DVDs and videos to be run from the library to projectors in the classroom.
As well as continuing to provide for AR awards and parties, Weekly Readers and Scholastic Readers, and an extra field trip for all grade levels among other things. We hope you’ll help us meet these goals to enhance the excellent education our students are receiving!
