Kast-A-Way is clearing their Fastskin racing suit inventory for the 2006 models and has slashed the price of all Fastskin I suits. You only wear one of these suits at meets you're trying to achieve a breakthrough performance, like UGA, County or Metro. This is a great deal for anyone who's wanted a really fast suit, but was scared by the price.
There are only two models that are being discounted...
For women, it's the Recordbreaker Kneeskin.
This is the suit that Cherokee's A relay team wore at County. It
normally sells at $174, but has been discounted to $87.50. Kastaway does not recommend this model for breaststroke races, as the material buoys the thighs to the surface. Its a great suit, though, for butterfly and freestyle.
For men, it's the FS I Legs.
It normally sells at $135, but has been discounted to $67.50. This was the most popular suit at States.
The FSI model comes in Woodstock's colors - blue with red borders. But I wouldn't sweat it, if they don't have that color in stock. We won't see these again next year. It's a great suit and a great deal.
I suggest anyone who's interested, to go in for a fitting.
Kast-A-Way's main store is in Cobb County at 2550 Sandy Plains Road in Sprayberry Square, right across from Sprayberry High School. Their number is (770) 579-1908.

It is time to return your CLEAN parkas and jackets so
that we can store them until next season. For those
of you that received a parka and/or a jacket, please
return them to Coach Quinn before Friday, March 12th.
Please DO NOT dry clean. I don't know if the laundry
instructions are inside the parkas/jackets or not, so
I've included the instructions that the Booster Club
received when they were ordered:
Washing:
o All Garments should be washed on gentle cycle.
o Wash with cold water only. Hot or warm water can and
will cause bleeding of fabrics and inks.
o Use only mild soaps and detergents.
o Do not use any bleach or fabric softeners.
o Do not soak garments.
o Wash only like colored garments together.
o Remove Garments from washer promptly.
Drying:
To prevent fading or bleeding all garments should be
hung to Drip Dry.
If you must use a dryer, use "air only" setting.
Remove garment from dryer promptly.
THANKS!

More IMPORTANT NEWS from Coach on 1/20/05
Coach Quinn will hold a team meeting at the Cobb Aquatic Center, immediately after Friday's meet.
Track starts Monday and Coach Quinn wanted to remind the swim team that many of the swimmers still have Metro (1/29) and State (2/10)Championships. Coach Quinn will distribute the entries for the Metro and State meets.
Any swimmer on the Metro/State list is obligated to train with the Swim Team through the end of the season. Any swimmer who did not make Metros or States has fulfilled his/her obligation.
Coach Quinn will continue to take attendance for the Metro and State Team. The track coaches are aware of this and will honor our swimmers commitment through the end of the season. The Swim Team follows similar reciprocity with athletes committed to varsity teams in the early fall season.
Thanks!

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THE 12/2 MEET in Rome, Georgia.
We had planned to leave at 3:15 with a bus and driver available at that time. We no longer have that bus and are unable to get another until 3:42. The administration will not pay time and a half and this cuts down on potential drivers. That means that we have to wait until a driver finishes his/her route before they can pick up the team.
The Swim Team is to report to the bus pickup area directly behind the gymnasium immediately after dismissal.
According to the Darlington Coach, warm-ups usually are from 5 to
5:30, so they can get the meet running before 6pm. They will do the best they can to delay our warm-ups, but cannot guarantee it.
Coach Quinn is doing everything he can to keep this from happening, but be prepared to be late for warm-ups and maybe even for the start of the meet.
Directions to Darlington School
Take 1-75 North to Exit 290 (Rome/Canton). Turn left on Georgia Route 20. After three miles, take U.S. Route 41 North. Exit at U.S. 411 South. On the outskirts of Rome, follow signs to Cedartown, (not Rome). Bear left on U.S. 27 and U.S. 411. Exit at Darlington Drive. Turn left. Go 200 feet, then turn right on Darlington Drive. The Athletic Center parking lot will be on your right hand side, prior to the School's main entrance.

Please support your swimmer's efforts to collect sponsorships (either per lap or one-time donation) before 11/30. If you have questions, email the WHS Swim Team Booster Club and they'll get you answers!
Be sure to mention to the "per lap" sponsors how many laps your swimmer thinks he/she may swim to ease in collecting final donations!
