Obviously, membership dues provide monetary contributions that help the program to be successful.  Funds are used to supplement the program’s recruiting budget, and to pay for summer school scholarships and other expenses not included in the program’s budget.

But what has been the backbone of the club’s value is the volunteering that is done by the members.  Through hosting visiting teams, organizing potlucks and providing postgame meals, being knowledgeable fans at matches, and showing ohana to not only our team, but to the visiting teams, we have built a reputation that is the envy of many a coach and player. 

Look at the many ways you can contribute.  Volunteer to help in the areas that interest you.  Any and all contributions of money and volunteer efforts are truly appreciated by the team and the coaches. Hosting Visiting Teams

Club members greet visiting tournament teams, provide tournament information packets to the coaching staff and general information as required.  This is a wonderful opportunity to spread some of the aloha spirit and meet some of the premier players and coaches in collegiate volleyball.

Potlucks
Each season there are three to four membership socials with the team and coaching staff. Membership provides potluck food and volunteers help setup, teardown, and cleanup.

Postgame Meals

One to three volunteers provide a meal to feed the Wahine Volleyball team and staff after each home match. Food may be home cooked, catered, or provided through the arena’s Sodex’ho services. Cash donations are accepted to provide the meal. Members providing the meal are invited to host this event.

Banquet

Each year at the end of a season the Booster Club plans and puts on the banquet to honor our Wahine and celebrate the season. Become a part of this team and make this a memorable event.

Golf
Each year the Dave Shoji Golf Tournament is a great success. Volunteers help make this event truly enjoyable. You can, also, gather a team to participate in the tourney and share in the great prizes.

Newsletter
Monthly newsletters during the season and periodic newsletters during the rest of the year bring club information and interviews with current and former player to the membership.
