Ticket prices for the 2009 WAC Volleyball Tournament are as follows: Participating Team Ticket Requirements Each school that participates in the tournament is required to purchase 75 all-session tickets. Because of this, Hawaii fans are encouraged to buy their WAC Tournament tickets from the UH Ticket Office so that UH can meet its ticket allotment. Furthermore, there are several service and convenience fees associated with the online ticket sales through the Orleans Arena website. Therefore, fans and boosters are strongly urged to buy from the UH Ticket Office rather than the Orleans Arena in order to help the school meet its allotment and to save money. Ticket Sales Timeline While all-session tickets are on sale now through the Orleans Arena website, the UH Ticket Office (956-4482) is currently just taking names and contact information from interested ticket buyers. The Ticket Office expects to receive the tickets soon and will be contacting the people who put their names on their list soon after. Single session tickets will not be available for purchase until one week prior to the start of the tournament, beginning Monday November 16.
Check out the video show The Warrior Beat, hosted by Stephen Tsai and Leila Wai of The Honolulu Advertiser. This week's guest was Rainbow Wahine senior outside hitter Aneli Cubi-Otineru.
Head coach Dave Shoji’s career record stands at 999-175-1. His first chance at getting the 1,000 win of his career was supposed to come tomorrow, October 14, in the match with Louisiana Tech. However, the match against Louisiana Tech has been postponed. Severe weather in northern Louisiana and east Texas, caused Louisiana Tech to miss its scheduled flight and subsequent alternate routes to Honolulu. The match has been postponed until Monday, Oct. 19, at 7:05 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center. Now, the next scheduled match is Saturday, Oct. 17 against New Mexico State. First serve is 7:05 p.m. Head coach Dave Shoji needs one more victory for 1,000 career wins.
