Past Events September 19, 2004 Hickory Garden's was the place of entertainment for the evening. We each had a good time eating and playing a game of Yatzee (shhhhh!)was the entertainment fun for this evening. Pat Burnett was the winner of a candle holder with votive. (I think she cheated!) Only a few of us were able to make this event. October 23, 2004 October meeting was....well (no offense to Judy B) a real wash out! Our planned meeting was for a great hayrack ride....with all the trimmings (hotdogs, s'mores, and wine & beer) and the weather did not cooperate! It rained and was really cold that evening! So, in a fury, we decided to go to Ambers....which we found out later....was closed due to kitchen problems....so we hurried to Lone Star where a drink was waiting for me! Well we did enjoy ourselves at Lone Star, the few that were there! Let's see if we can have a bigger turn out in November! Nov. 11, 2004 Our November outing was a very small turnout, but that didn’t stop the fun we had at Your Design LTD. We had lots of fun creating our watches, bracelets, perfumes, & bath and body accessories. Ladies at Your Design LTD. were very accommodating to help each of us create something we wanted to make. Several of us made a real “classy” watch, while others made a bracelet. Creating your own perfume was lots of fun (I didn’t have time to make one for me)…but Carol, Lacy, & Judy B. each created a really great smelling creation. Judy….you really smell good! It is YOU! Although, our group was small, the fun held by all was plentiful! See you next month. Dec. 15, 2004 The event of the year! All members were present plus we had 2 additional guests, who I believe had so much fun….they will be regulars! We met at Fantasy Tan of Eldridge, a shop my daughter owns, there was plenty of room to eat drink & be merry! Our cookie swap was really fun! We each made 4 doz. cookies and shared by all. We each had a small handmade gift exchange where we drew numbers and took a gift. A special visitor came and brought us presents…Santa was enjoyed by all! You will have to check out the pictures! All the ladies said they were good girls this year! Of course, no gathering is complete without food. And there was plenty of that! Lots of munchies and lots of bubbly to go around! Since we were at the tanning salon, some of us took advantage and got a “spray tan” This was event that none of us missed…except Judy B. (her grandchildren had a Christmas program) She was truly missed by all! Carol B. is holding the next meeting…see you then!!!! January 29, 2005 What a wonderful time held by all who attended. We took a road trip to Anamosa, Iowa and went to the Wild Thyme Tea Room! We had a wonderful lunch and fabulous desserts! Of course there were a few new kinds of tea to enjoy as well. We drew "months" for each member to host! Now we have a whole year planned on who will be the hostess with the mostest! After enjoying our visit at the tea room (we did some shopping in there as well!) We hit the streets of Anamosa! What lovely shops we ventured in. We did come home with a few bags! February |
