|Next meeting |
The next meeting will be November 5 from 6 to 8 pm. Please join us for an evening of TURKEY BOWLING!!! During our last meeting the group decided that we wanted to do something active, so we are doing just that! When I say TURKEY BOWLING it means bowling with REAL bowling pins and a frozen Cornish hen (weighs about 3-5 pounds) and has a mesh handle! The mesh handle and lighter weight bowling ball makes this a perfect “adapted bowling” for all to try! We also have a lot of laughs during this active group!
It will be held on the CLC building 12 on the 3rd floor!
Spouses and support persons are welcome as well. Hope to see you there!
LOCATION:Community Living Center (Building 12) VA Central Iowa Health Care System 3600 30th Street Des Moines, Iowa, 50310
DIRECTIONS: There’s an entrance into the VA right off of Douglas Avenue and Euclid/Lower Beaver Road. Come in that entrance and keep right (West).
You’ll see two main entrances to your left (South). Building 12 is the entrance to the West of the other. That’s the building you want!
The meeting will last for approximately 2 hours. The first hour will be a structured session involving speakers and discussion. The second hour will be more social, allowing for questions to be asked and connections to be made.
