Mission

To provide networking, education, and advocacy for people and their families who have experienced an amputation.

Objectives

• To provide a centralized person to person contact mechanism for people who suffer from amputation for the purposes of early education.

• To provide a networking opportunity for patients and families of patients who have experienced an amputation.

• To provide for education and advocacy for people who have experienced amputation.

The next meeting for the group will be on Monday, February 20, 2012 at First Federated Church, Room 131, 4801 Franklin, Des Moines, IA 5031 from 6 to 8 pm.

The February 20th meeting will be a book club format. We will be discussing the book "One Step At A Time" written by Josh Bleill.

Spouses and support persons are welcome as well. Hope to see you there!

The meeting will last for approximately 2 hours. The first hour will be a structured session involving speakers and discussion. The second hour will be more social, allowing for questions to be asked and connections to be made.
