Chili Supper Committee (Oct)- Help organize supper/dance with the help of room parents. Sell tickets. Work with volunteers to get donations. Work with cafeteria for food sales. This day will need many volunteers.
General Fundraising Committee - Chairperson (Vice-President) is the contact person between the school and the fundraising company. Help in making decisions for fundraisers. Be present at assemblies and help pass out packets. Help with the collection of sales and distribution of products.
Hospitality Committee - Greet members at meetings, greet parents, students and staff at events. Bake cookies for different events. The "welcome wagon" of the PTO.
Homeroom Coordinator - Responsible for finding room parents for each classroom and helping the teachers with classroom celebrations and volunteer time.
Culture Fair- Committee sets up, recruits volunteers, gets supplies, silent auction and/or raffle items donated. Gets games and prizes for event as well as food.
Kindergarten Registration- Works a PTO informational table during event. May speak to group of new parents about the PTO and what its purpose is.
Pastries for Parents-Responsible for both events, setting up food and drinks. Send flyers home to get a number of those attending. Order products and recruit volunteers to help with the event.
Popcorn Committee- Make and distribute popcorn during classroom celebrations and on an as needed basis.
PTO Webmaster - Maintain PTO website. Update with current information. Can be done from home.
Publicity Committee- Creating and hanging signs and banners for events and meetings.
School Directory Committee- Compile all data into directory form. Take orders for additional directories. Set up copy schedule. Distribute directories.
School Improvement Committee - Clean up the school grounds. Help organize any large landscaping projects.
Silent Partner Program- Ask for donations of coats, hats, mittens, boots and snowpants. Fill the need when there is one.
Spirit Wear Committee- Contact person to the company where shirts are ordered. Handle orders, sales and distribution.
Teacher Appreciation Week Committee - Organize and work with others to supply dinner for teachers during conferences and a catered meal during teacher appreciation week.
