May my friends and relatives see my work in the exhibit?
Yes, the exhibit is free and open to the public. We are thrilled to share our needlework with others.
May I bring my stitching friends to Merchandise Night?
Yes, Merchandise Night is open to the public. There is no admission fee. We are happy to have friends join us in supporting the merchants.
Will I be able to find a book that I'm looking for at seminar?
A Ruth Kern bookstore will be open to the public during seminar 2009. In addition to a wonderful selection of books on site, you can order books in advance directly from Ruth Kern (rkern3@mindspring.com, 1-800-429-5075). Ask to have your order sent to Springtime in the Valley, and your order will be waiting for you to pick up with no shipping fee.
What size clamp do I need to hold my frame on the table?
 This is the side profile of the tops of the tables that will be in the classrooms at Springtime in the Valley. You can fasten your frame to the table using a 4” C clamp, an Irwin Quick Grip, or a Pony model 3203 electrical clamp.

What may I sell at Merchandise Night?
You may sell merchandise which is related to needlework such as fabric, fibers, and tools.
How do I register to enter pieces in the exhibit?
- Go to the national web site at www.egausa.org
- Select Enter Members Area from the left sidebar.
- Type in the correcr user name and password and click ok.
- From Member Links, select Forms, Guides & Manuals.
- From Insurance Forms, select Individual Appraisal.
- Print page 1, complete and submit the form.
What are the membership requirements for "Springtime in the Valley"?
- You must be an EGA member.
- You do not have to be a Cedar Valley Chapter member.
- You do not have to be a Heartland region member.
- If you are thinking about joining EGA, please consider joining a chapter and region as well so that you can participate in the programs, workshops and courses they offer.
How many people can share a hotel room?
- Hotel rooms may have 1 to 4 occupants sharing the room and its cost.
What should I do with my copy of the brochure if I'm sure I will not attend?
- Bring your brochure to a chapter meeting so that it can be given to a new member.
- Drop off your brochure at Village Needlework so that it can be given to someone in the community who is interested.
- Give the brochure to an acquaintance who is interested in needlework classes.
What does "first day consideration" mean?
- Registration forms postmarked on or prior to October 17, 2008 will be considered
"first day" registrations.
- If the number of first day registrations for a class
exceeds the class limit, names will be drawn to determine who attends that
class.
