SERVICE PROJECT 

CAMP SUNNYSIDE SERVICE PROJECT

When: Saturday May 10, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
What: Camp Sunnyside spring cleanup
Who: All scouts and parents are welcome
They will provide us lunch and drinks and gloves. They asked us to bring garden rakes, lawn rakes, and socket sets to assemble some furniture. COME IN CLASS B UNIFORM. Plan to arrive a little before 8:30 am. Scouts have the opportunity to earn up to 8 service hours.
Camp sunnyside it loacted just south of Ankeny on 2nd Ave. Turn east onto NE 66 Ave, and the camp is just up the hill on the right.

    Members of Boy Scout Troop 188 in Ankeny provided the color guard at the opening of the Medical Assistants State Convention on April 5. The convention was held at the Stoney Creek Inn in Johnston. Troop 188 Scout meetings are every Monday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ankeny. In addition to providing service to groups like the medical assistant organization, the troop conducts a variety of service projects throughout the Ankeny area. Activities include an annual ski trip to Minnesota, Boundary Waters canoe trips, summer camp and learning basic outdoor skills.
