Bowling for Toys:

download the entry form.....Bowling For Toys Entry Form

Bowling for Toys will be held December 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. Tough Guy Lanes, 403 E. Lewis.

4-person teams. Bowling will be a 9-pin no tap which means if you get 9 pins down with the first bowl you get a strike.
The cost will be $5.00 per person, plus 1 un-wrapped toy at a value of $10.00 or more.

There is a full bar, and Wing It Restaurant in the Bowling Alley.

The committee chairs are Sandra Bischoff and Marla Martinell.
The committee is looking for prizes and raffle items. Tickets will be sold for a 50/50 drawing.
The Marines will be selling the raffle tickets. Who can resist a man in uniform?
Half goes to the lucky winner and the other half will be used to buy whatever is needed for the SEICAA Children’s Christmas party.
There will be a prize for the top bowler and the lowest bowler.

The toys will be used to provide approximately 225 children with a toy at the SEICCA Christmas Party on December 12, 2009.

SEICAA Children's Christmas Party:

For the 9th year, Bannock Civitans and SEICAA will team up to
provide another great party for approximately 225 children in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area.
The date of the party has been set for Saturday, December 12 and will again be held in two sessions.
The first session will begin at 10:00 and the second at 11:00.

Toys will be sorted and the candy will be bagged on Wednesday, December 9th,
beginning at 6:00 in the recreation room at St. Anthony Place. Please use the 7th street entrance.

Santa and Mrs. Clause will be there with their elves and the choir from Hawthorne Jr. High will provide entertainment.
The first committee meeting was held on Friday, November 13th at the New Hong Kong on Center Street.
The next meeting will be held Friday, December 4th, same time, same place.

If you are interested in being involved with this very worthwhile project
you may contact Frances Ashcroft at 233-1424, cell 760-0266 or Connie Doerr at 221-1928.
You may also sign up to help at any regular Civitan meeting.
Bannock Civitan meets each Wednesday at noon at J Anna’s Bistro.

If you are a new member, please get involved.......
you will be glad that you did!

Bannock Civitan Member Christmas Party:

Bannock Civitan will host the annual member Christmas party on Thursday December 17 at The Brick Loft.
You and a guest are invited to enjoy some holiday cheer with your fellow Civitans.

Social hour begins at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30 pm.
Dinner by Texas Roadhouse - ribs and chicken.
Following dinner will be the white elephant gift exchange.
White elephant gifts means something nice and new (or nearly new) that you have at home.
This is the perfect time for re-gifting. The Right/Left Game will be done by Kevin Wakeman.
Then we will have music and dancing. Please bring your own adult beverages.

The Brick Loft is located on the second floor at 928 N. Main (above Bricks & Sticks Real Estate and across from Ridley's).
The entrance is on the north side of the building.
There is plenty of off-street parking on the south side and rear of the building.

Please sign up at lunch or RSVP to Alicia Tauscher at tausalicia@yahoo.com or 317-3677 or
Marsha Wright at mwright14@gmail.com or 313-5460. RSVP by Monday, December 14, 2009.

SEICAA/Pathfinders Snowmobile Outing:

The date is Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
Pocatello Pathfinders Snowmibile club is helping with this event.
They provide chili, hot dogs, and hot chocolate at their snowmobile hut as well as snowmibiles and helmets for the kids.
They will be taking the kids for rides and helping transport the Christmas trees up the hill and down the hill.
They are very excited to help agin this year and love watching the kids and how excited they get on the sleds.
They are great partners for this and we look forward to them being a part of this event each year.

Volunteeres are needed: 12 vehicles to transport kids from SEICAA (north side door) to the Crystal Summit area and home after the event.

Donations are needed: Christmas trees, stands, decorations, lights. Coats, pants, boots, gloves, hats for the kids.
The kids can then keep the winter warmers for every day use.

Drop donations at Porters Office Supply (formerly Bangs) or call Gerald Kimber at 406-6304.
