 NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEWS! The Rev. Dr. Anne Hoflen will announce the launching of The
Eulalia Breese Music Scholarship of Paw Paw, Illinois Competition on October
21, 2007 during the performance of the "Ensemble Monticello" concert
at 3pm. A simple application will be made available to be interested
area youth between the ages of 9-17 which is submitted to the Scholarship
Committee with a short essay on "Why music is important in my life".
The applicant simply indicates usage for the stipend- indicating the
name and address of a verified instructor and/or music camp. Should no
monies be used during the scholarship year, additional funds may be added
through the Paw Paw Endowment or individual contribution for use in the
next scholarship season. According to scholarship administrator, David
S. Vanderbilt of Paw Paw, the recipient of funds will be chosen by
committee- some of whom are professional musicians.
