Assignments for the Week of November 16-20 and 23-27

If you would like to check out the years lesson plans please visit the website www.livetext.com and go to the visitor section type in F0E5C1B5 and enter my additional website for more information. This includes worksheets, presentations, and other downloadable material.
REMINDER: 1st and 2nd quarter all work must be turned in within two days from due date to earn partial credit. All long-term assignments must be turned in on due date to receive credit.
3rd and 4th quarter all assignments must be turned in on time to receive credit. Very few times will I give an extension.
I understand certain situations that may occur, such as illness and death that may require an extension. In order for me to grant an extension for these situations I must have parent contact.
SCIENCE FAIR ! You must enter your board and be present to earn up to 200 extra credit points!
The first item that will be due is science fair topic ideas, start brainstorming. Due date October 1st. 3rd hour Sept.30th!
Science Fair final topic due Oct.14th! (Research starts from this point.) 3rd hour is due Oct.5th!
Science Fair research due Dec.2nd, research notes and works cited page.

EXTRA CREDIT!
Read any article and write a 1-2 paragraph summary on the reading, then find 5 words you do now know and define them. Finally create 3 "I wonder" questions about things you still have questions about or that the reading inspired you to ask about the article.
THIS WEEKS WORK
ALL: Turn in October Sky paper!
1st hour: Read and Discuss Ch.3 sec.1&2.
2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th hour: Go over how to take notes for science fair project and how to cite a source!
Science Fair research due Dec.2nd, research notes and works cited page.
3rd, 5th homework: Read Ch.3 sec.1&2 complete pg.84 & 89 all.
Period 1,3,5: Students will work on a heart worksheet due tomorrow. Period 3/5 turn in homework.
Period 2,6: Read and Discuss Ch.3 sec.1&2 pg.84 & 89 all.
All: pg.90 lab tomorrow
ALL: Pg. 90 lab Heart Beat, Health Beat, complete Analyze and Conclude #1-5
ALL: Ch.3 sec.1&2 Quiz
All: Read and discuss Ch.3 sec.3&4 pg.91-102
ALL: Read Heart Articles and discuss.
All: Work in class on Heart Worksheets due tomorrow.
2nd & 6th: Complete Heart diagram and color blood flow due at end of class.
