Date : 08.8.9.Sat Topic : Trip to Illiois FestivalYesterday, I and the others all went to the Illinois festival. We arrived there in Mr.Yoo¡¯s car and had joy rides with my group members. Then we bought some foods at a cafeteria named Food-O-Rama. Lastly, we went to a dairy farm and drank a cup of milk for free, the taste of which was very special. I felt it took a long time to arrive to the Illinois festival. When we arrived, I was a little dozing. The first thing to do was separating into small groups. We decided to have three groups with the teams¡¯ leaders Mr.Yoo, Linda, and David. I was in Linda¡¯s group with Sue and Julia. We were so exited when we saw fun things at the amusement park, a part of the festival. Our group all wanted to ride fun things, so we went to the place where we could buy tickets for riding. We bought four tickets to ride the Biking and the Scary Swing. The Scary Swing was much more scary than the Biking. I and Sue rode the Scary Swing and Linda and Julia rode the Biking. When I and Sue rode it, I felt Weeeeeee~! I could see the whole world upside down! And then It felt like I was flying up through the sky. After the horrible, scary, exiting feeling, we went to the promised site. We had promised to meet at the front of the lost and found box when we¡¯re done. It was 3. We were starving. As we walked down the street to find something to eat, we could smell something delicious. It was the smell of the foods at the cafeteria name Food-O-Rama. ¡°Lets buy something here, or we won¡¯t be able to run and walk and play in the festival.¡± Linda said. We agreed to buy two French fries and two cans of coke and shared them. I had hot-chili sauce and sweet barbeque sauce for the French fries. They were so tasty that I really wanted to have one more for only me. We couldn¡¯t decide what to do for forty minutes. ¡°Why don¡¯t we go to the Dairy Farms and have four cups of free milk for each of us?¡± Sue suggested. ¡°That would be fun!¡± I exclaimed. We went into the Dairy farm. The first thing I saw was ¡°Butter Cow¡±, a life-size cow made of butter. I took a picture of it. ¡°Now what do we do?¡± I asked. Linda said ¡°We all can play the game and collect the words. And as soon as we have the words spelled ¡®BUTTER¡¯, ¡®MILK¡¯, ¡®CHEESE¡¯, and ¡®CREAM¡¯. We will be able to have four cups of special real cows¡¯ milk for free!¡±. There were lots of games to play. Throwing balls to a hole, throwing milk jar bottles to a little basket, and answering questions about dairy foods were all kinds of the games. Finally we were able to have the all letters, so we could have them. It tasted a little bit unfamiliar to me, like slimy pudding stuff, however I was really enjoying it. I had a very good time on this trip. Also I think this trip will be a nice and sweet memory in America. I really want to come back here again soon. The Illinois festival rocks!! When : 08.8.4.Mon Title : Sweet, Sweet Home Yesterday, I and my friends went camping. I packed essential materials that I¡¯ll need. We rode about 20 minutes. We first put up the tents. Next, we ate some delicious dinner. Then, we played the ¡®Truth¡¯ game before we fell asleep. The next day, after our breakfast, I started to fish When we arrive, I found many tents and camping cars on the camping ground. We didn¡¯t have a camping car, so I was a little jealous, but making a tent with other kids was pretty fun. Our girls¡¯ tent was much larger then the boys¡¯. When we were hungry, Mr.Yoo and his assistants cooked a Koean Shin-Rameun for us. I just gobbled it up, because rameun was just my favorite. After eating that hot, spicy rameun, we ate one cold popsicle. Those foods matched so fantastically, that I was so glad with my tongue and my full stomach. We crawled into our sleeping bags in the tent. We played the game called ¡®Truth¡¯. We had to tell about what we did wrong and the listeners gave a clap and cheer up the person. With courage and bravery, I told my friends about my wrongdoing. I cheated on my answer sheet for the Daily Homework years ago. Others clapped so I felt relieved and forgiven. Then¡¦lightened up, we fell asleep. It was Sunday. We ate Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly Sandwich and one popsicle for breakfast. I and other sisters shared our snacks. After that, we went fishing. Some friends were already there, fishing. Sue let me borrow her fishing pole, so I could catch many fishes. I caught about five fishes. About time we got tired, rain started to come. We rode back home. I felt so cozy and comfortable. Everyone laughed just happily. Making tents, eating yummy things, playing ¡®Truth¡¯ game, fishing were all very exciting, and I also realized camping is not as comfortable as home. This camp gave me one, great lesson. Guess what? Sweet Sweet Home! Date : 08/7/28/Mon Topic : Time Machine Yesterday I read a book titled ¡°Time Machine¡±. The story inspired me a lot. And I hope you would learn as many as I did. It¡¯s about a man made time machine. The man went to the future to prove himself. But sadly, the future was not as comfortable as he thought. The future people¡¯s life was too much convenient, so the lack of exercise made them very weak. And I¡¯ll also tell you about what people are doing wrong for the future. One day, a famous scientist wanted to know how the world in future will be like, so he decided to make a real time machine to go to the future. But nobody trusted him. So the man went to the future to prove himself where he thought everything would be very comfortable. But nothing was like that. A creature name ¡®Eloi¡¯ lived there in the future, and the world had too many machines to do everything people need to do. Therefore, Elois were made very weak and dumb. They didn¡¯t have to work because food were always provided for the table without their effort. They didn¡¯t have to exercise because they didn¡¯t feel it necessary in their lives. Today, many people may think that advanced technology in our lives are very essential for the future. But I think we also have to think about the side effect. Sometimes we people need challenges in our lives. If we rely too much on technology, our body would be as the weak Elois¡¯. This may be a crazy idea for you, but I would say, ¡°Let¡¯s be positive for our current life situation, and enjoy our difficulties and inconveniences. When:2008/07/15 Topic:At America Chicago On Sunday, I rode the airplane. I met the friends that will go with me to America Chicago, Mr.Yoo¡¯s house. After I did a good-bye hug with my parents, I felt scared and a little nervous. I and my friends were very comfortable at the airport, because we could have the UM service, which is a service for children¡¯s traveling without parents. At the airplane I could not sleep sweetly, because I was overexcited. First, we went to Mr.Yoo¡¯s house. The good-looking rooms, especially, the large nice living room made me already familiar, even if it was my first time to see it. Now, I go to an American school in here, Springfield, Illinois. There are many American students at the school, and I already made seven friends. My best friends¡¯name is Alyia and Katie. They are so nice that even when they accidentally bump me, they put their hands on my shoulders and say sorry. The first day I met them, I was so thankful because they have been very nice to me and helped me not to stay alone at school. We are planning to play dudge-ball at the gym class tomorrow. I have a hunch that my days in America will be very exciting! ÇϹΰæ 2006 ¿©¸§Âü°¡ Hi, everyone!!! It will be morning in Korea. Did you have a good night and did you see me in your dreams???
