Who are the Hampshire / Burlington Jaycees?• Young adults (21-40) of any race, creed, or color.
• A group dedicated to community improvement and personal betterment.
• One of the fastest growing young people's organizations in the world.
• A stimulus to community spirit.
• A group that will readily accept the challenge of a difficult community project.
• International in scope - there are chapters in over 100 countries and territories.
• Recognized by government and business leaders at every level as an organization which develops new community leaders through constructive action.
Put simply, we are the organization of choice for men and woman 21-40 years of age who want the best opportunities for leadership development, volunteerism and community service. The Junior Chamber organization is a constructive action organization of young persons who devote a portion of their time to community service in the public interest, developing young persons as leaders of their community. If you want the great projects to continue (Spring fair, poker run, pictures with santa....) then it is time to step up. If you or anyone you know is age 21-40 and would like to meet new people and learn new skills then join now. If not then this great chapter of the Jaycees will NO LONGER EXIST.
