|Knights of Columbus Cardinal Council #1691 Berwyn, IL|
|Welcome To The Cardinal Council #1691 Web Site. |
Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut state legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.
The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan.
Want More Information On Membership? Have you always wanted to be a Knight of Columbus, but nobody ever asked you to join?
Have you ever wanted to be involved with an organization that has Charity as it's focus?

Cardinal Council Provides Honor Guard for St. Odilo Events
The Knights of Columbus is proud to support Fr. Brankin and St. Odilo Parish with as many of the events at St. Odilo as we can. From providing parking assistance at the concert in January, to providing Honor Guards for the St Joseph's Day Celebration, Confirmation Ceremony, Mother's Day Procession, Feast of Corpus Christi, Priesthood Sunday, and All Soul's Day Masses, to providing manpower to assist at St. Odilo Summerfest and Oktoberfest, the Knights of Columbus are ready and willing to support St. Odilo Parish in any way we can.
However, to do so, we need manpower! If you are a Catholic man, age 18 or older, why not join us? We'd love to have you!
Not 18 years old yet? Why not join our Columbian Squires program, which is for boys ages 10-17 years old.
Ladies, are you looking for a way to serve the parish? Why not join our Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary?
For more information on any of these programs, feel free to contact Grand Knight Mike Sulin:
