DecideI Reception-April 1, 2009
The 5th annual information reception for high school seniors was held on Wednesday, April 1,2009, at Eastland Suites. Speakers at the event included a panel of four current U of I students, a representative of the Club's scholarship program, a speaker from the Moms' and Dads' Association and a representative from the Admissions Office. This award winning event was designed to provide information and answer questions from area high school seniors (and parents)who have been accepted for admission in 2009-2010. Door prizes were awarded for correct answers to Illinois trivia questions. Dessert and beverages were served.

Happy Hour-January 29, 2009
Illini basketball fans met at Gill Street Bar and Grill for Happy Hour prior to the Illinois/Minnesota game. Early arrivals cheered on live coverage of Governor Blagojevich's impeachment while die-hards stayed to watch the Illini game. Although there wasn't much to cheer about by the end of the game, Illini cameraderie made the evening a success.

National Ballet Theatre-January 24, 2009
Club members enjoyed priority seating at the National Ballet Theatre's production of Sleeping Beauty, held in Krannert Auditorium.

Champaign-Urbana Ballet-December 7, 2008
Accompanied by the Grammy winning university ensemble, Sinfonia da Camera, the ballet's production of the Nutcracker was enjoyed by club members at Krannert Auditorium.

Illini Club Quarterback Club Luncheon-October 31, 2008
Illini Club of McLean County members were honored guests at the Quarterback Club Luncheon. Speakers included Bruce Weber and Ron Zook.

Golf Outing-June 9, 2008
The Illini Club of McLean County hosted its sixth annual golf outing at Crestwicke Country Club in Bloomington on Monday, June 9. The primary purpose of this event was to provide funding for scholarships awarded to rising U of I freshmen from McLean County. The rains held off as teams of four competed for prizes, met fellow Illini fans, and helped support the club's scholarship program.

Meet and Greet Tour-June 4, 2008 McLean County was fortunate to be the host of one of four stops on this year's tour. The Bloomington stop featured head football coach Ron Zook, head basketball coach Bruce Weber, and head women's basketball coach Jolette Law.

Roger Powell at O'Brien Field-May 24, 2008
The Peoria Chiefs hosted Faith & Family Night at O'Brien Field on Saturday, May 24. Guest speaker was former U of I basketball star Roger Powell. A fireworks show immediately followed the game.

DecideI Information Reception-March 31, 2008
On March 31, the Illini Club of McLean County hosted it's fourth annual DecideI information reception for area high school seniors who have been accepted into the University of Illinois for the 2008-2009 school year. A panel including four current U of I students and representatives of the Admissions Department and the Mom's Club provided useful information and answered questions about the university.
