The New Lenox PTO is a service organization dedicated to promoting unity and communication among all the schools in our district, providing opportunities for parental involvement in our children's education, and offering financial assistance to the school district.


All families in the district are part of the PTO - CHOOSE TO BECOME ACTIVE!

- support PTO fundraising: Golden Opportunity Book Sales in the Fall; Gift Card Sales in the Fall, Winter, and Spring; Flower Sales in the Spring; monthly Market Day sales

- support PTO Events: Summer Social, Bunco Night, Fun Fair, 5K Walk/Run

- support PTO efforts: volunteer in the schools!

Every year, the PTO offers equal funding to each of the 12 schools:

• school funds to be spent as each principal sees fit (check out below to see what has been purchased this year!)
• funds to enhance the LRC
• funds to update the playground carts
• back-to-school teacher allowances for certified staff - encourage your teacher to take advantage!
• Faculty Academic Support Grants to certified staff - Ask your teacher if they have taken advantage of these offerings!

Pick-up is at Bentley School (enter on the Tyler side of the campus and drive around back to the Bentley gym.)

Our net profit from Market Day last year was over $23,000. Thank you to all who support Market Day.

Market Day orders can be placed on-line (preferably) or via paper order sheets that are sent home with students. To save time and take advantage of internet specials, we encourage you to order online. Forms will be sent home monthly to children in grades K-6. If your child is in junior high and you would like to receive a form, please contact Denise McAvoy or Kathy Klevorn. Contact information is listed below. Information regarding the sale date and return date of the order forms can be found on the back-side of the order form.

Many volunteers are needed to help our sales run smoothly. Junior high students can help each month and receive “community service” hours. Parents are also welcome and baby sitting is available. Market Day trucks arrive each month at Caroline Bentley Elementary School at 2:45 pm and begin unloading. The sales run from 4:30-6:30 pm and volunteers are needed throughout each sale. Any amount of time you can donate is greatly appreciated!
