The meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m.

Members present were: Branden and Beth Schrader, Danya Burk, Anna Wilson, Angela Colan and Sandra Barciszewski.

There will be a Child Protection Class at St. Mary’s Parish Center on November 10, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Branden requests attendance by all leaders and parents.

Scouting For Food will be discussed in detail at the November Roundtable Meeting. Branden stated that he will be attending that meeting.

Danya reported on the Show and Sell that was held at K-mart on Saturday October 3rd. There will be another Show and Sell at Lowe’s from 8 am – 12 pm this Saturday October 10th. Blitz Weekend sales totals were called into council by Danya. Last year the Scouts received 17% of their sales in their individual accounts.

During November attention will be given to getting an active scout roster so that it will be ready for recharter in January. The sign up fees will increase in January to $15.00.

Wreath Sale Forms are ready. The pack makes a 35% profit from wreath sales. Beth is attending the den meetings to explain the wreath forms, dates and information.

Harvest Parade is on Saturday October 17th. The parade begins at 2 p.m. The float has to be there at 12 p.m. Anna will be there at that time so scouts can arrive from 12-1 p.m. There will be a float decorating meeting on Wed. October 14 at 4 p.m. at Anna Wilson’s home, 1806 Pace Ave. She will be sending out an email to those attending the parade. The tee shirts will be given out at the decorating meeting. This year’s theme is “9-11 Remembering the Heros”. Anna has ordered flag magnets for the scouts to hand out to the public and fire hats for them to wear.

October Pack Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday October 27th at Shriner’s Park. It was decided to have apple slices with caramel dip and hot chocolate. The scouts are to bring a filled treat bag to trade and a decorated pumpkin. The den leaders are to tell ghost stories. The Webelos will be arriving early to start the campfire. We will also have the mummy wrap game. Beth is checking prices for small trophies or certificates to give for the pumpkin decorating contest. The categories will be Scariest, Best Cub Scout Theme, Silliest, Best Jungle Safari Theme and Cubmaster’s Choice. Pinewood Derby cars will also be given out at the pack meeting. Beth is going to check on the number of cars that will need to be bought from the Scout Shop.

There is a need for a Pack Historian to take photos of the meetings, events and keep newspaper clippings. Branden will discuss this at the October Pack meeting.

We briefly discussed Christmas party ideas, costs, date, and possible locations. This will be discussed in more detail at the November committee meeting.
