Who/What We Are
The purpose of this organization shall be to foster the highest standards of excellence in the practice of the art of embroidery through an active program of education and study and to preserve the heritage of the art of embroidery.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at the Westminster Presbyterian Church located on the corner of Walnut and Edwards streets in Springfield, IL. Meetings start at 7pm. Everyone is welcome: remember to bring a friend and your Show & Tell items.
Program
The program will be making orange fruit bags which can be used for a pin cushion and are adapted from Japanese chinimen bags (chinimen means ‘silk crepe’ in Japanese). These bags will be made with kimono silk rather than silk crepe. Bring your normal sewing supplies to participate.Monthly Challenge

This month, we will use the time to do finishing for the Festival of Trees. There will be no program. Bring your normal sewing supplies along with any projects that need to be completed.Monthly Challenge
