WELCOME TO THE MCHENRY COUNTY CHAPTER OF PROJECT LINUS!
We are a national volunteer organization that collects and distributes new, handmade, washable blankets to kids in need of a "hug". The McHenry County chapter of Project Linus opened in November of 2002.
AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2009, WE HAVE DISTRIBUTED 4,734 BLANKETS!
Our blankets have been donated to the following agencies:

The majority of our blankets are donated by individual volunteers sending one or two our way. We have also had donations from Girl Scout troops, senior groups, and church groups. So if you can sew, quilt, crochet, knit, or tie fleece "no-sew" blankets, please consider donating them to our chapter!
