SPECIAL NOTES ON FLEECE!! Please be sure to cut the selvages off the fleece before making blankets. The selvage is the factory edge on the fleece that is thinner, has no print and curls up. It is usually about an inch that needs to be cut off along both factory edges of the fleece. It is much easier for you to cut it off before you cut the fringe, than for me (or you) to cut off after the knots have been tied!! Please/Thank you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THIS CHAPTER IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING DOUBLE LAYER/TIED FLEECE BLANKETS.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    SIZES

    Although we accept ALL SIZES of blankets,
    the following are the most popular:
    Baby (Approx. 40" x 40")
    Toddler (Approx. 42" x 60")
    Teen (Approx 50" x 72")

    ************************************************

    MATERIALS

    Knitted, Crocheted, Flannel, Quilted, and
    No-Sew Fleece(single layer are better than double, not so hot in the hospitals)
    We ask that they be made in "kid-friendly" colors.(No polyester, wool, silk, linen.)

    The only requirement is that the blanket is
    NEW, HANDMADE, AND WASHABLE!

    ************************************************

    HELPFUL HINTS!

    Please double-check that all pins have been removed!

    If being donated from a home with smokers or pets, we ask that the blankets be washed before delivery to us.

    DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER! THERE CAN BE ALLERGIES FOR SOME KIDS! PLEASE/THANK YOU.

    Please do not attach any buttons or other embellishments to your blanket as this is a choking hazard.

    If you are making a no-sew fleece blanket, PLEASE cut the finished fringe ends to about 1 inch in length. Longer lengths present a choking hazard and get caught in medical equipment. PLEASE DO NOT TIE THE KNOTS SO TIGHT THAT THEY DO NOT LAY FLAT. If the edges are curling up after being tied, they are probably too tight!
