Hi, My name is Shawna and I am 5 years old. I broke my forearm in two spots and had to have my doctor set it properly. I visited the NIMC hospital and the nice nurses gave me a beautiful blanket to keep me warm and take home with me after I woke up from my surgery. I love it very much. My 4-year old son had surgery last Friday at Northern Illinois Medical Center. The nurse let him choose from 2 beautiful blankets. I just wanted to tell you how much he loved that! It was such a scary day for us and it helped make it that much easier. He also really enjoyed showing everyone the blanket he got!

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Project Linus organization. The blankets that you often donate to our teen parents support group,T.A.M.I. are greatly appreciated. The young parents in our group love to get these beautiful blankets! Youth Service Bureau gives the blankets out as an incentive for attending the group. I normally bring a blanket to the participant after they have attended their first four T.A.M.I. meetings. Of course, if they are in need of a blanket they can have one at any time. It is always nice to see, months after these blankets have been given to them, it is still the blanket that is used to cover the baby up with when they walk into our weekly meeting. I believe this gift to them, provided by Project Linus, may be the nicest blanket most of them have for their child.....We appreciate your generosity and that you always remember our young parents and their children.

We just wanted to thank you for your generous offerings of your hand-made blankets. Last week our daughter needed to stay overnight in the hospital. It was quite a scare for us, fortunately we were able to take her home the next day with all test results negative. They (NIMC) allowed our daughter to choose a blanket and she adores it.
