It was once said that it takes a community to raise a child. Our students are finding great ways to give back to the community where they live.
Locks of Love to help with Joey's Journey at our Fun Fair!
Joey, a boy in our community, was born with Neuroblastoma and Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome.
His family would like to raise awareness and offer support to those affected by these diseases. To learn more about Joey's story and the family's mission, please go to joeys-journey.com .
Walking past the cafeteria it was evendent that Wayne families have once again been generous with donations. The amount of pop and water donated is amazing. These items will help make a an event special for Joey in March. Thank You!
A large number of students, past and present, volunteering at this year's Fun Fair. They include: Boy Scout Troop #99; Wayne Girl Scout Troops, National Honer Society Students from South Elgin High School & St. Edwards as well as Wayne School alumni from Kenyon Woods Middle School. Thank them when you see them! Watch for more special stories on what our students are doing to help other students. COMING SOON!!!
