Thank you St. Joseph for prayers answered.

St. Joseph pray for us!

For the love of Jesus...

Ever blessed and glorious Joseph, kind and loving

father, and helpful friend of all in sorrow! You are

the good father and protector of orphans, the defender

of the defenseless, the patron of those in need and

sorrow. Look kindly on my request. My sins have drawn

down on me the just displeasure of my God, and so I am

surrounded with unhappiness. To you, loving guardian of

the Family of Nazareth, do I go for help and protection.

Listen, then, I beg you, with fatherly concern, to my

earnest prayers, and obtain for me the favors I ask.

I ask it by the infinite mercy of the eternal Son of God,

which moved Him to take our nature

and to be born into this world of sorrow.

I ask it by the weariness and suffering you endured

when you found no shelter at the inn of Bethlehem

for the holy Virgin, nor a house where the Son of God could be born.

Then, being everywhere refused,

you had to allow the Queen of Heaven

to give birth to the world's Redeemer in a cave.

I ask it by the Loveliness

and power of that Sacred Name, Jesus,

which you conferred on the adorable infant.

I ask it by that painful torture you felt

at the prophecy of holy Simeon,

which declared the child Jesus

and His holy Mother future victims of our sins

and of their great love for us.

I ask it through your sorrow and pain of soul

when the angel declared to you

that the life of the Child Jesus was sought by His enemies.

From their evil plan you had to flee

with Him and His Blessed Mother to Egypt.

I ask it by all the suffering, weariness,

and labors of that long and dangerous journey.

I ask it by all your care to protect

the Sacred Child and His Immaculate Mother

during your second journey,

when you were ordered to return to your own country.

I ask it by your peaceful life in Nazareth

where you met with so many joys and sorrows.

I ask it by your great distress

when the adorable Child was lost to you and His Mother

for three days.

I ask it by your joy at finding Him in the Temple,

and by the comfort you found at Nazareth,

while living in the company of the Child Jesus.

I ask it by the wonderful submission

He showed in His obedience to you.

I ask it by the perfect love

and conformity you showed

in accepting the Divine order

to depart from this life,

and from the company of Jesus and Mary.

I ask it by the joy

which filled your soul,

when the Redeemer of the world,

triumphant over death and hell,

entered into the possession of His kingdom

and led you into it with special honors.

I ask it through Mary's glorious Assumption,

and through that endless happiness you have with her in the presence of God.

O good Father! I beg you,

by all your sufferings, sorrows, and joys,

to hear me and obtain for me what I ask.

Complete legal victory in all arenas.

Insurance settlement with St. Paul Travelers.

Peace that passes all understanding for a 1000 generations.

Reconsiliation with Tracia.

Restoration of all that was stolen by the enemy.

Obtain for all those who have asked my prayers

everything that is useful to them in the plan of God.

Finally, my dear patron and father,

be with me and all who are dear to me in our last moments,

that we may eternally sing the praises of

JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH.

BY THE GRACE OF GOD AND FOR THE LOVE OF JESUS

Memorare of St. Joseph
Remember,
O most pure spouse
of the Virgin Mary,
St. Joseph,
my beloved patron,
that never has it been heard
that anyone sought your aid
without being comforted.

Inspired by this confidence,
I come to you and fervently
commend myself to you.

Despise not my petition,
dear foster father
of our Redeemer,
but graciously accept it.

Amen.

Pray for restoration and vindication

Let us Pray:

God, in your ineffable providence, You were pleased to choose Blessed Joseph to be the spouse of Your most holy Mother; grant, we beg You, that we may be worthy to have him for our intercessor in heaven whom we venerate as our protector on earth; You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

Daily Prayer to St. Joseph

My beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as your child.

Take charge of my salvation.

Watch over me night and day.

Preserve me from occasions of sin.

Obtain for me purity of body and soul

and the spirit of true prayer.

Win for me

a spirit of sacrifice, humility, and self denial.

Obtain for me a burning love for Jesus

in the Blessed Sacrament and tender love

St. Joseph, be with me in life;

be with me in death

and obtain for me a favorable judgment from Jesus. Amen.

The Memorare

Remember, O most pure spouse of the blessed Virgin Mary,

my protector, St. Joseph,

that no one ever turned to you for your protection,

implored your help, or sought mediation

without obtaining relief.

Confiding, therefore, in your goodness,

I come into your presence

and fervently recommend myself to your care and protection.

Most loving foster-father of my Redeemer,

hear the petition of your humble client. Amen.

Petition to St. Joseph

In faithful imitation of Jesus and Mary,

I place myself and all my concerns

under your care and protection,

St. Joseph. Instruct me in every doubt,

comfort me in each affliction,

and defend and protect me in time of danger.

Watch over me at all times,

but especially at that last hour of my life on earth

so that with you I may praise the Adorable Trinity forever. Amen.

Two Prayers for Workers

O God, the creator of all things, who formed the law of labor for the human race,

graciously grant that by the merits and patronage of St. Joseph,

we may do the work You assign us

and earn the reward You promise.

Through our Lord, Jesus.

Lord God, You have created all things,

and imposed on man the necessity of work.

Grant that, following Joseph's example,

and under his protection,

we may accomplish the works You give us

and obtain the rewards You promise.

This we ask through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer for Protection

St. Joseph, you are the faithful protector of and intercessor for all who love and venerate you.

I have special confidence in you,

for you are all-powerful with God

and will never abandon your faithful servants.

I humbly invoke you

and commend myself with all who are dear to me

to your protection and intercession.

Do not abandon me or them during life,

and assist me and them when we die. Amen.

Protect me and my family from David A. Greenfield

and let the police investigate his comings and goings in the name of Jesus

From the Desk of Jim Dauphin Interim Chief of Police I would like to thank Retired Chief of Police Stephen Springer the best in retirement. He served the citizens of Fairview Heights with tremendous ability for so many years. The Fairview Heights police department continues to enjoy our new police facility. You are reminded to check the police department phone numbers you have listed since they changed with the move. You will notice that our new prefix (489) is the same prefix that is used by all the other city departments. Following is a list of our new telephone numbers: Emergency Calls .....................................................................911 Non-Emergency Calls.............................................................489-2100 Criminal Investigations Division...........................................489-2130 Administration...........................................................................489-2150 Records Division.....................................................................489-2170 Interim Chief of Police Jim Dauphin -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chief Springer retired May 7, 2004

WARMA, WITTER, AND KREISLER - City Insurer

Joseph the Just, you who are the patron of authentic efforts of social justice, we entrust the work of the Fairview Heights Police to your patronage. Teach them to know the Lord whom you held and to do and teach as Jesus did. Let them do social justice and vindicate this poor humble barber in all matters before the city of Fairview Heights.

The exercise of solidarity within each society is valid when its members recognize one another as persons. Those who are more influential, because they have a greater share of goods and common services, should feel responsible for the weaker and be ready to share with them all they possess. Those who are weaker, for their part, in the same spirit of solidarity, should not adopt a purely passive attitude or one that is destructive of the social fabric, but, while claiming their legitimate rights, should do what they can for the good of all. The intermediate groups, in their turn, should not selfishly insist on their particular interests, but respect the interests of others.

Positive signs in the contemporary world are the growing awareness of the solidarity of the poor among themselves, their efforts to support one another, and their public demonstrations on the social scene which, without recourse to violence, present their own needs and rights in the face of the inefficiency or corruption of the public authorities. By virtue of her own evangelical duty the Church feels called to take her stand beside the poor, to discern the justice of their requests, and to help satisfy them, without losing sight of the good of groups in the context of the common good."

An error, "today abundantly widespread, is disregard for the law of human solidarity and charity, dictated and imposed both by our common origin and by the equality in rational nature of all men, whatever nation they belong to. This law is sealed by the sacrifice of redemption offered by Jesus Christ on the altar of the Cross to his heavenly Father, on behalf of sinful humanity." Solidarity is manifested in the first place by the distribution of goods and remuneration for work. It also presupposes the effort for a more just social order where tensions are better able to be reduced and conflicts more readily settled by negotiation.

The virtue of solidarity goes beyond material goods. In spreading the spiritual goods of the faith, the Church has promoted, and often opened new paths for, the development of temporal goods as well. And so throughout the centuries has the Lord's saying been verified: "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well".
