Our Youth Group program is for all high school and middle schoolers who want to fellowship, worship, serve and have fun!
Join us for music, lessons, laughter and snacks.

Upcoming events:

  • 9/24: Join us every Sunday at 11 as we tackle Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about Faith.
  • 2/14: (4:30-6:30) Serve at 4th Street Food.

    2011 Events:

  • 12/13: Served 30 @ 4th St. Food, 9 participated.
  • 12/11: Christmas Pageant, 4 participated.
  • 11/5: PYC Event with multiple youth groups @ Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church, 6 attended.
  • 9/28-10/1: PYC worked the Farmer's Fair booth, 4 participated.
  • 9/10: Weekly Sunday Church School resumed in the newly refurbished Youth Group room, 2-3 middle schoolers attend.
  • 8/21: "Youth in the Church and World" Sunday, 2 high school and 1 middle schooler participated as ligurgists, ushers and offering collectors.
  • 8/9: 4th Street Food, 2 "leaving this week for college" and 1 starting high school participated.
  • 7/7-10: Massanetta Springs (Virginia) Middle School Conference, Harrisonburg, VA, Theme "I of the Storm", 7 attended. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!
  • 6/19: Recognized 3 High School Grads
  • 6/11-12: ACS Relay for Life at SDHS (9am Sat to 9am Sun), we contributed to $2800 being raised for a total event amount of $135,842!! 7 participated
  • 6/4: Youth Group rode the bike trail from Aurora to Lawrenceburg and back. Very hot day, iced water much appreciated! 8 attended.
  • 5/21: Youth Group - learned a new song and painted on the wall by the new window in our youth room! 3 attended

  • 5/14: 9-Noon Bake Sale & Book Sale at Fields IGA, Dillsboro, ACS Fund Raiser, $700 raised, 2 attended.
  • 5/7: Baked brownies,confetti cake, apple strudel coffee cake and snickerdoodle cookies for next week's ACS fund raiser.
    And, enjoyed playing pool and eating pizza! 7 attended
  • 4/30: 8-Noon Plant Sale at U.S. Bank, Dillsboro, ACS Fund Raiser, 4 attended, $500 raised.
  • 4/22: 4 youth and 2 adults registered for the Presbyterian Middle School Conference @ Massanetta Springs, VA
    2 sixth grade girls, 1 seventh grade boy and 1 eight grade boy attending with 2 adults to stay in cabin.
  • 4/16: 4-6pm Movie event @ Greendale Cinemas, "Soul Surfer", http://www.soulsurferthemovie.com, 7 attended.

  • 4/8: 4-9pm Bake Sale at Walmart, American Cancer Society (ACS) Fund Raiser, 3 attended, $1400 raised.
  • 4/2: Youth group was fun tonight! We baked 3 pans of brownies and 4 cookie sheets of confetti cookies
    Learned what PYC stands for (Presbyterian Youth Connection), signed up for the ACS Relay for Life and ran around outside until we had to leave.
  • 3/25: WinterJam concert at Cincinnati Gardens, 3 attended
  • 3/11-12: Had an awesome time at CIY SuperStart! event for pre-teens (4-6th grade), 5 attended
  • 3/6: We talked about the important of the virtue "gratitude" and Bob gave us a guitar lesson!
  • 2/26: Packed boxes to send to our 5 college students living away from home
    Discussed how the virtue "Simplicity" can benefit our life and sang to the guitar
  • 2/19: Lesson was "Love" as reflected on Valentine's Day and love of fellowman
  • 2/12: $95 and 128 can collected

  • 2/5: Varnished door, talked about growing "Faith" to bring Joy to life
  • 1/22: Continue working on room, work on Souperbowl mission project (www.souperbowl.org/tacklehunger/)
  • 1/15: Worked on our youth group room, drywalling and painting.
    Learned that the word Joy appears 218 times in the Bible! Talked about making "Joy" our logo for 2011 and spreading it freely.

    2010 Events:

  • 10/9-11/13: Confirmation class, 3 youth attended and became church members
  • 9/29-10/2: Farmer’s Fair Booth, 5 worked
  • 9/26: Gather at the River, 6 attended
  • 9/12: Fall Church School, 5 attended
  • 8/28: Homemade Ice Cream & Melon Fest, 1 youth worked & 5 youth visitors attended
  • 6/20: Honored 3 graduating seniors
  • 5/7-6/13:6 practices, 9 attended
    > Prayers written by youth and HPC care packages @ Ross Manor evening before.
    > Band included piano, lead and rhythm guitars, bass and drums.
  • 4/18: Golf Outing, 4 attended
  • 3/20: Presbyterian Youth Connection Mission Event, 4 attended
    > Assembled/distributed a week’s worth of food with ~60 other Presbyterians to provide spring break meals to Cincinnati kids; always an impactful event!!
  • 3/7: Lunch and a Movie, 4 attended
    > Watched “Facing the Giants”, at pizza and made signs for HPC’s Pancake Brunch
  • 2/7: Souper Bowl Sunday, 5 attended
    > HPC donated $46.00 & 38 food items to Dillsboro Food Pantry. FPC donated $330.00 & 71 food items to Dearborn County Clearinghouse
    > 14 goodie bags prepared for our church and family members away at college; 3 verbal & 2 written thanks received
  • 2/4: Winter Jam Tour, 6 attended
  • 1/17: Go-Karting, 3 attended
    > We raced the European style go-carts improving our scores each time. It's like that with God's word, too.
    > As you read the Bible, you learn God's truth, identify wrong behavior, mend your ways, and receive positive training in righteousness.
