Annual activities include summer camp, a free haunted trail at Moser Park for elementary kids, a Fall High Adventure Trip, Winter caving/spelunking, Canal Days cleanup and ticket booth, and district winter, and spring camporees. The troop also plans a variety of monthly activities througout the year.
The leaders of Troop 356 are committed to provide an excellent program for its members and strongly believe and support the values and ideals of the Boy Scouts of America.

KLONDIKE DERBY/YMCA OVERNIGHT
January 30 (Saturday) to January 31 (Sunday)
COST: $10 per person (includes meals & activities)
Klondike in the Wild West is this years theme. Come prepared for a day of outdoor activites including morse code, lassoing, lashing, cook-off, map symbols, sled races, iron man competition, and much more. After the days activites are done, we will head into the Jorgenson YMCA for a lock-in. Inside activities will include swimming, basketball, games, and more
March 27(Saturday) to March 28 (Sunday)
COST: $40 per person (includes meals & activities)
Overnight on the WWII Submarine USS Silversides in Muskegon Michigan. Touring the Great Lakes Naval Museum, and sleeping on the sub. Sunday we will head to PJ Hoffmaster State Park and spend a couple hours climbing dunes and hiking trails.

The Boy Scouts of America turns 100 this year! In honor and celebration of this milestone Troop 356 will be inviting all past 356 Eagle Scouts, former Scoutmasters, and other Eagle Scouts that are residing in the New Haven area to a free dinner, Eagle Presentation & rededication, and party!
This once in a lifetime event will be held during Scout Anniversary Week on February 8, 2010. Those wishing to participate should RSVP to the webmaster.

JULY, 2010. Backpacking trip shakedown & overnight
AUGUST 2010. High Adventure Backpacking Trip to North Manitou Island in Michigan. Scouts must be at least First Class by departure. Tentative Cost: $150.00

Congratulations to Sam Hawkins, Troop 356's 26th Eagle Scout. Sam has earned over 21 merit badges and for his Service Project he planned, fundraised, and installed a new flagpole at Havenhurst Park in New Haven. Come celebrate with Sam at his Eagle Court-Of-Honor which will take place as part of our 100th anniversary celebration on February 8th, 2010.

Its time to start making plans to attend Summer Camp 2010!! We will be spending a week at the magnificent Camp Chief Little Turtle. The cost has gone up this year to $260.00. However if you keep to the payment schedule, the cost will be reduced by $18 and includes a free camp gift! The troop has also budgeted funds to help subsidize camp for every scout that attends. Any adult wishing to attend will camp for free!! Parents are still needed to make this go! Every scout should plan on attending this great week in the great outdoors!
