BOY SCOUT TROOP 356 CURRENTLY MEETS EVERY MONDAY EVENING AT AMERICAN LEGION POST 330 IN NEW HAVEN AT 7PM. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT THE WEBMASTER

Parents often ask "What can I do to help?" Even if you do not have the time to commit, there are many ways in which you can support your son in scouting.
BE A SUPPORTIVE PARENT...
After meetings or events, pick-up your scout on time. Review each weekly meeting with your scout and encourage their enthusiasm. Visit a regular meeting from time to time as an observer, or join in the fun! Discuss your child’s medical, health or behavioural concerns with the leaders. Remind your scouts to use their Scouting promise and law in their daily lives. Attend special programs, camps and banquets with your son. Help your Scouts to complete badges and requirements at home.
For those parents who have a little time to spare; we encourage you to be as active as possible! There are many ways in which you can be a part of your sons advancement through scouting that only requires one hour a week, or one commitment a year!! Parents do not have to be a registered leader, however, the Troop policy is that all registered adults are paid for by the troop. Here are a few opportunities over the next 6 months that you can become involved with...
2009 Summer Camp Coordinator
2009 Canal Days Coordinator
Summer and Fall Cleanup at Moser Coordinator
Fall or Spring Court-of-Honor Coordinator
Popcorn Chairperson
Quartermaster
Camping Chaperone
Driver
