The Communication and Leadership track has been updated and will take full effect in 2008. These changes are:

CTM will be "The Competent Communicator" or CC.
ATM-B will be "The Advanced Communicator-Bronze" or AC-B.
ATM-S will be "The Advanced Communicator-Silver" or AC-S.
ATM-G will be "The Advanced Communicator-Gold" or AC-G.

The speech requirements for each level have not changed from the former CTM and ATM requirements.

The Competent Leader or CL, no longer requires a participant to have their CTM/CC but there is a new manual that is used to fulfil the new CL award.

The Advanced Leader has been broken down into two levels, Advanced Leader-Bronze (AL-B) and Advanced Leader-Silver (AL-S).
The requirements for the AL-B are:

  • Achieve CC or CTM and CL.
  • Served at least six months as a club officer.
  • Participated in the preparation of a Club Success Plan while serving as a club officer.
  • Participated in a District-sponsored Club officer training program.
  • Conduct any two programs from "The Successful Club Series" or "Leadership Excellence" series.

    The requirements for the AL-S are:

  • Old CL or the new AL-B.
  • Serve a complete term as a District Officer.
  • Complete the "High Performance Leadership Program".
  • Serve as a Club Sponsor, Mentor or Coach.

    The Advanced Leader-Silver in conjunction with the Advanced Communicator-Gold will qualify you for the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award.
