Words from the Court
“Make new friends but keep the old. Some are Silver and the other Gold.”

We are thrilled to have the honor of ruling this regal group of wonderful ladies. We hope you help us, lots, to create fun and memorable meetings for the future.

Connie and I want to give our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful ladies who created this fun group, Past Queen, Cheryl Williams and Lady Cyndi Philson! They have created a fun and exciting club for all of us. We only hope we can live up to their greatness.

Connie and I hope all our lovely ladies will help us in planning new and exciting meetings.

Thank you to Cheryl and Cyndi and all our lovely ladies for a wonderful evening.

Welcome to Hat-Attude Hotties Website                  This section is being written about our beloved Cyndi. This story is from Cheryl as to how our group got started all thanks to Cyndi.

Cyndi called me one day in August of 2003 and said, "I know what we're going to do." I said, "Okay, what?" I had discovered in our relationship it was easier to just go with the flow, since I seldom won an aurgument with her. Besides whatever she came up with we always had a ball!. She told me we were going to start a Red Hat chapter. I said "Okay, but what is it." She preceeded explaining that she had heard about it, & that it was a group of girlfriends who got together once month to go out & have fun; that we would have to wear red & purple in public, and that I would be the Queen. I asked her how come she wasn't going to be Queen since it was her idea. She informed me that she wasn't old enough, that you had to be 50 or older. I later found out she lied & I fell for it. We got on line and researched how to start a chapter. It didn't sound difficult. Our biggest worry was that we would be the only ones to come. But we decided since we could have fun together sitting in a box, we could be a 2 person chapter. We each invited friends we thought might have fun being silly with us, and hoped we would have 5 show up for our 1st meeting. Our first meeting was September 18, 2003, in Garret, with 16 lovely ladies attending. Who knew what we started.... Cheryl

Our chapter is made up of "Red" Hatters and "Pink" Hatters. A Red hatter is a girl 50 or better and a Pink Hatter is a girl in waiting (under 50). We have 2 rules (actually 3): 1) Girls 50 & better must wear purple outfits with red hats to our functions. Yes, we mean in public! 2) Girls in waiting must wear lavender outfits with pink hats to our functions. And our most important rule is 3) HAVE FUN!

Birthdays

We wish a Happy Birthday to Sharon Girard and Dianne Raupfer.

If we missed your birthday, please forgive us & let us know.

OUR PURPOSE
We join other groups of women who have decided to meet aging head on with a sense of humor and make growing younger an adventure. Our purpose is to meet new people, have fun, not take ourselves too seriously and embrace growing younger!
  OUR MISSION
Our mission is to embrace each other as we make this journey of "aging". We hope to remind each of us that we are unique and special. We each have so much to offer one another. We are in this thing called life together, and as long as we remember not to take ourselves & life too seriously we can enjoy the journey.

October Meeting
Our meeting this month was at the Busy Brush Gallery & Gifts in Auburn. It was wonderful. The owners, Pat and Merv Delagrange we wonderful hosts. We all had chicken salad over lettuce with a wonderful croissant. And the dessert was out of this world. It was a raspberry and vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and topped with hot fudge. It was to die for! The shop has lots of wonderful gifts and Pat does all the paintings. She's very talented! We were treated wonderfully. We will do this again.
