HCA NEWS

Welcome to the Association's website!
There is a lot of information on these pages...please take your time and "stroll" (scroll) through them. The weekly reflections are part of the acknowledgment letter which I send to benefactors who have given a gift to Holy Cross that week. Many folks call these "little homilies." You are always welcome to stop back here and read that reflection as part of your preparation for the upcoming Sunday liturgy.
A longer reflection on spiritualiy and everyday life is included on the page titled "Cross Links Reflection." This is a part of our newsletter that comes out five times a year.
We offer many services in terms of wrapping our prayers around yours. If you look on the "Memorial Page," you'll see some of the ways you can invite us to pray along with you. For each card, there is an underlined command which you can click on to upload the request form for that particular card. We would, in turn, ask your prayers for our departed brothers and priests whose obits are on the Memorial Page.
We give you the history and background of our Holy Cross Congregation on the "About Holy Cross" page. Also on this page are photos of our Moreau Seminary, Holy Cross House, and our Administration Building, as well as photos of myself and my co-workers, Carol and Melissa, who lovingly handle your requests and send your cards out to you.
To add to your pleasure in visiting our website, we have added pages entitled "Fr. Herb's Photo Gallery," and "Laughter For The Soul."
There are also links to CSC activities...to the vocation department...to Notre Dame and Saint Mary's...to sites that concentrate on the Catholic religion and on other world religions. I mean...this site is the starting point for a lotta good stuff, if I may say so myself!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting us. We hope you will visit our website often. Please send me any comments or suggestions in the "Contact Us" section at the bottom of the Home Page. You can also add your name and e-mail address. Thanks!
May God bless you and yours, and I hope you have a peaceful day (or night, depending when you connected to us!!).
My special thanks to Dave Flood for all his work maintaining this site.

Love 'n' Hugs,

Fr. Herb

MAY HEALING ARMS ENFOLD YOU...

GOLDEN TREASURY OF HOLY CROSS PRAYER

The Golden Treasury of Holy Cross Prayer is a perpetual enrollment. All those enrolled in the Golden Treasury are supported by the prayers, Masses, good works, and sufferings of Holy Cross priests, brothers, and seminarians throughout the world. Enrollees also benefit from the prayers of their brothers and sisters in the Association.

Your gift will be used for the education of our seminarians, and for the care of our ill and retired priests and brothers.

The offering for the enrollment is entirely up to you. We do not suggest an offering because many of our benefactors are on fixed income, yet folks still want some idea of what to give. The average gift is $16.00, and gifts range all the way from $0 to $100. Whatever you wish to offer is fine with us.

You will receive a Golden Treasury card and envelope with our acknowledgement of your gift, plus a replacement card and envelope for future use. If you want more than one replacement card, please let us know on the form. If you request more than one replacement card, we ask that you help us out in your gift to cover the extra mailing expenses.

Thank you, and God Bless !

SILVER TREASURY OF HOLY CROSS PRAYER

The Silver Treasury card was introduced in late April, 2001. It is a one year enrollment. Many benefactors had wondered what to do for an encore if they had sent someone (who was seriously ill, for example) a Golden Treasury card, which is the perpetual enrollment. So if "Chris" recovered and then later took sick again, what could they do to show support and care? The Silver Treasury card is a way you can show support and care for someone who is passing through a short-term time of stress and change.

Your gift will be used for the education of our seminarians, and for the care of our ill and retired priests and brothers.

As with the Golden Treasury, there is no set offering. I cannot give you any range of offerings, because this is too new to have any sense of what people will give. Whatever you wish to give is quite acceptable to us.

You will receive a Silver Treasury card and envelope with our acknowledgement of your gift, plus a replacement card and envelope for future use. If you want more than one replacement card, please indicate this on the form. If you request more than one replacement card, we ask that you help us out in your gift to cover the extra mailing expenses.

Thank you, and God Bless !

Mass Intention Card Cover

MASS INTENTION

We offer our benefactors the service of having Masses said for their intentions. The Mass Intention Card pictured above is for those who are deceased. We also have a Mass Card for the living or for special intentions (not pictured). The place or date of the Mass cannot be guaranteed, due to circumstances beyond our control. The most I can say is that Masses are offered within two months, three at the maximum.

The requested Mass stipend is $7.00, which goes directly to the CSC priest saying the Mass.

You will receive a Mass Intention card and envelope along with our acknowledgement of your gift, plus an extra Mass Intention card and envelope for future use. If you need more than one extra card, please indicate this on the form. We ask only that you help a little extra in your gift to cover our additional mailing costs.

Thank you, and God Bless!
