| History of the Group
The Last Supper Drama Group of Fort Wayne began as a ministry of Simpson United Methodist Church of Fort Wayne in 1969. That year, the group presented a single performance of "The Last Supper" at Simpson. Since then, the group has presented "The Last Supper" over 150 times, with nearly as many men taking part. "The Last Supper" is also a family ministry. Over the years, many families have played a pivotal role in our presentations both as cast members and supporting crew members. In fact, on at least one occasion, three men from the same family have sat at the "Last Supper" table as members of the cast. Since the groups inception we have had just five different directors. The late Cy Harader was our first director, followed by Frances Gantz, Jack Brandon, Al Bohnstedt, and our current director, Francis Bader. Each of our directors have, at one time or another, had members of their own families involved with the group. Even today, two of Cy Harader's grandsons, Andy Ewing and Daniel Simpson, are members of the group.

Thanks To Our Families! The cast of "The Last Supper" would like to thank each of our families who provide so much support during the presentation season. Many of our family members travel with us during the season, helping with set-up, costumes, and make-up. Thanks! We couldn't do it without you! |
A Little Boy In Need... We are very pleased to announce that all money collected in 2005, in excess of expenses, from the offering plates passed during our presentations went to the family of Steve and Erin Armstrong. Steve and Erin have an eight year old son, Andrew, who desperately needed a kidney transplant. The Armstrong's took their son to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis so that the transplant could take place. We are very happy to report that Andrew is doing well after a successful transplant in early summer of 2005!
