By fostering you are saving an animals life. Foster homes allow us to provide the animal time to become socialized and find the perfect home. It also allows us to learn more about the animal, such as its personality, likes and dislikes. We can better place animals when we know something about them.

1. Your foster animal(s) becomes your responsibility until placed. This may take a short time, such as a few weeks or it could be much longer.
2. You will be responsable for the animals care. This will involve daily feedings and excersice, grooming, socialization and may consist of transporting the animal to and from veterinary appointments.
3. You will need to keep records and paperwork on your fostered animal(s). Keeping in contact with your Foster Coordinator is also necessary.
4. You may need to conduct phone interviews with prospective adopters of your fostered animal(s). You will have input on who adopts your foster animal(s).

Fostering can be a wonderful experience for both you and the animal. We always need foster homes, in every state. You can foster any animal we bring in. If we do not have any animals that you would like to foster at this time, you may still sign up. Just list the types of animals you are willing to foster. Maybe you can only foster animals that will be outside, such as horses, sheep or goats. Maybe you only have room for small animals like reptiles, birds or hamsters. No matter what type of animal you can foster or how many,We Need You.
