Architectural Control Committee
Many of you will be doing things outside that may require prior approval from the Architectural Control Committee. It's really quite easy. Complete the form and get it to me or any other committee member listed below. We will get you approval as quick as we can. Please remember, we are not the enemy. Here is a list of tips to help us get you fast approval:

  1. Use the covenants and Architectural Control Committee Guidelines as a guide for what we can allow.
  2. Try to give us some lead-time for the approval. I have had some people ask for approval with the lumber already delivered to their house.
  3. Always give us a sketch. I realize many of you are not artists, but it helps us to be consistent.

Sheds and positioning of satellite dishes are the most popular requests. Both require a completed form and sketch of their intended location. Feel free to call me if you need help with the form. Have a great summer!

RUST STAINS ON YOUR HOUSE

Have you ever wondered if there was an easy way to remove those brown or orange stains on your vinyl siding, or other parts of your house, that are caused by sprinklers spraying repeatedly? I have found a solution, and several people have asked me about it.

Z-ro Rust is designed for cleaning rust stains from concrete, siding, brick, landscape stone --all those outside areas hit by water from the sprinkling system. This easy to use product requires no scrubbing and won't harm grass or landscaping.

Available in quarts and gallons. Sold at Kabelin Ace Hardware (formerly Granger True Value Hardware), and other fine stores.

Tip: Pour a small amount at full strength into a paint bucket. Spread (undiluted) onto your rust stained siding with a wide paint brush. At first, you won't notice it do anything. Wait about 10-15 minutes, and all the stains will disappear. Rinse off with water to finish.

 Warm Weather Reminders
PETS Please be considerate of your neighbor. Curb your animal and clean up after your pet.

TRASH AND RECYCLING DAYS Some days it is like "Wind"field Downs, which can be a problem if your trash or recycling is set out at the curb. A simple criss-cross of tape can help. Remember, all of us are down-wind from somebody.

Also, a reminder that all incinerators, garbage cans and barrels shall be either located inside permanent structures or shall be of the "concealed type" and kept underground. No ashes or "other rubbish shall be left in public view on said premises." That means you cannot leave your garbage can or bags outside. Your trash can go to the curb the night before your scheduled pickup.

LOUD MUSIC Please be considerate of your neighbors with loud music from your cars. It does carry a long way. Also, please watch your speed - kids are out and about.

Thanks for helping us make Woodfield Downs a wonderful place to live!
