Meditating on the Word of God in 2009

The time we used outside Christ has caused many of our minds to be unproductive and unfocused in the things of God. This is the first thing we need change when we become Christians (Ephesians 4:17-18, Romans 12: 1-3). This is why meditating on the word is so important. To meditate means to ponder, regurgitate, think aloud, consider continuously and utter something over and over again. (dictionary). This is exactly what we need to do with the word of God. Speaking the Word of God out aloud aids us in focusing our minds on God. Although God speaks to our spirits we still need to understand His word in our minds. To understand the Word with our minds we need to focus on the word. Speaking helps us to focus. The Psalmist knew this secret and used it.Psa 62:11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

God bless you.

  "NEW BEGINNINGS"

It’s a New Beginning, New Era ,and a New Year ! We appreciate you for your faithful Support and constant commitment to our District. We would like to take this time to Thank all of the Pastors, and their Wives, Elders, Ministers, Deacons, Missionaries, and all officers and members in the Progressive District. We Pray that your Joy be full in this up coming Year. Saint John wrote to the Elder and all those who Loved Jesus “ I have much more to tell you, but I don't want to write it with pen and ink. I want to come and talk to you in person, in order that your joy may be Fulfilled”.

Saint remember Also what Isa 43:19 Said “See, I am doing a new thing; now it Is starting; There it is! Do you see it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Our Affirmation of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer.

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who asks for it.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen.

One rainy afternoon

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions necessary when the roads are wet and slick. Suddenly, my daughter, Aspen , spoke up from her relaxed position in her seat.

"Dad, I'm thinking of something." This announcement usually meant she had been pondering some fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all that her six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.
"The rain!" she began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers are like God wiping our sins away."
After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond.
"That's really good, Aspen." Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little girl take this revelation? So I asked... "Do you notice how the rain keeps on coming?
What does that tell you?"

Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her answer:
"We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us." I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on. Isn't it distressing to know that when you forward this message you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
