YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks were sent home with students by Wednesday, May 23, 2012. If you ordered a yearbook and did not receive it, please email LoganPTO@gmail.com. If you have not ordered a yearbook and would still like to have one, please email us. We are working on ordering additional books.

MAY MEETING MINUTES

Bounce Into Spring: We netted approximately $1,000 profit from this event. Of that profit, $500 will go toward our goal for the new retractable basketball goals in our gym next year (which we were working with Sunrise Optimist for).

Upcoming Events:

Kdg-5th gd awards will be presented on May 21st at 9:15 a.m.

6th grade promotion will be held on May 21st at 2:00 p.m.

Yearbooks for PreK and 6th grade students can be picked up on May 22nd from 6:00pm to 7:00 pm or Wednesday, May 23rd from 8:50am to 11:00am. Kindergarten through 5th grade students will bring their yearbooks home on Wednesday, May 23rd. If you have not yet purchased a yearbook and wish to do so, forms are coming home with students on Wednesday, May 16th that can be completed and returned, or you may come on one of the above days and purchase a book then. We have 100 extras to sell – so it will be first come, first serve.

Last day of school for PreK and 6th grade is Monday, May 21st.

Last day of school for Kindergarten through 5th grade is Wednesday, May 23rd early release at 11:00 a.m.

New Mini-Grants:

Tina Kleiner: Phonics set – approved.
Mrs. Gurss: Science set – approved.
Mrs. Sears: Learning Journey set – numbers and words – approved.
Mrs. Novack: Art supplies – approved.
Mrs. Piel: Kindergarten center materials – approved.
Mrs. Robertson: CD-Rom science set to incorporate with use of her white board – approved.

A reminder to teachers that we have approx. 10,000 Campbell’s Labels For Education currently in our account to use. An email was sent a few weeks ago with the link to the catalog if any teachers are interested in purchasing supplies. We will have more labels sent in for next school year as well.

Box Tops: This school year we have brought in over $1,000 in BoxTops. Way To Go!!! Our top earning classes for the 2011-2012 year were: Mrs. Sears and Mrs. Wayant. Congratulations! These classes have each earned a pizza or ice cream party, and each of the teachers will receive a $50 gift card to use for classroom supplies. Our top earning student for the school year will receive a $25 Wal-Mart gift card, and each of the top earning students for the April 1st deadline for Pre-K, K-3rd, and 4th-6th will each earn a $10 Wal-Mart gift card.

Fundraiser: Our fundraiser will remain the same for the 2012-2013 school year to abide by our two-year contract with JT Enterprises. Students will kick off the fundraiser in the Fall when they return back to school.

2012-2013 Back To School: The 2012-2013 school year will begin on August 16, 2012. We will be planning a Back To School event sponsored by the Logan PTO. Information will be sent home with students at the beginning of the school year.

Enrollment for next school year is set for July 26, 2012 from 7am to 7pm. Parents of students currently enrolled at Logan will also have the option to enroll their students online next year. A letter will be sent over the summer with more information on this process.
