    Welcome to Minisa Chapter - an IAAP Chapter of Excellence!

    Minisa Chapter was awarded the Chapter of Excellence banner at the 2009 Education Forum and Annual Meeting held in Minneapolis, MN.

    Minisa Chapter has been elevating the standards of administrative professionals since March 1942 and is proud to be the third IAAP chapter chartered.

    We are a thriving membership of office managers, administrative assistants, executive office administrators, office coordinators, information specialists, etc., who live or work in Wichita, or the outlying area of Sedgwick County, Kansas.

    Our members represent a cross-section of business and industry ranging from education, finance, law, and manufacturing, to real estate and service industries.

    We invite you to explore the unlimited possibilities within our chapter – opportunities for educational, personal, and professional growth!

    What is IAAP?

    The International Association of Administrative Professionals is the first and largest professional association for office support staff, with over 40,000 members and affiliates worldwide.

    IAAP works in partnership with employers to promote excellence and lifelong learning.

    IAAP is an association for "Career-Minded Administrative Professionals" and provides:

    ~ a variety of activities that boost an office professional's knowledge, resources, and ability

    ~ tools and knowledge necessary to stay on top of the profession

    ~ up-to-date research on office and technology trends

    • Online Resources - by logging on to IAAP's comprehensive Web site you gain access to the latest trends in the profession as well as news of the association and Web sites of fellow IAAP chapters.

    • Administrative Professionals Day/Week® - IAAP is the sole official sponsor of these special observances. Chapter programs help promote the image and contributions of the profession.
    • Annual Education Seminar - Minisa Chapter offers a one-day seminar in April that provides the office professional with practical, proven skills to become a more productive, valuable, and effective employee.

    • Scholarship Program - each year Minisa Chapter invests in the future of our profession via a college scholarship program.
    • Develop International Alliances and Friendships - best of all, make new friends and meet new professional associates throughout the world through IAAP's affiliates. They are the best resource we have!
     


    CHAPTER MEETINGS
     

    Chapter meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month, August through June.

    Meetings are held at the Caffe Moderne (300 N Mead St #108 - Old Town Square) in Wichita and begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social and networking period.

    Dinner is served at 6 p.m., followed by an educational program.

    A short business meeting is conducted after the break.

    Guests are welcome to attend all programs and functions of Minisa Chapter, except the business portion of the May meeting, at which time officers are elected for the next year.

    Come visit us! Dinner ($16) reservations are required. Meeting only ($3). We ask that you contact us at MinisaChapter@hotmail.com no later than noon on the Monday before the Thursday evening meeting.
