Breaking News!Minisa Chapter Celebrates 70 Years!
Minisa members are very proud to be the third chapter to charter in the association, on March 5, 1942. Our sister chapter, Kaw Chapter in Topeka, was first to charter on February 11, 1942. At that time the association was known as the National Secretaries Association.

The Minisa Chapter is a diverse group of office professionals who are a part of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Minisa Chapter was chartered in 1942 as part of the National Secretaries Association to provide a professional network and educational resources for secretarial staff. The name later changed to Professional Secretaries International, and in 1998 we became the International Association of Administrative Professionals to reflect the varied administrative job titles and recognize the role of administrative staff in business and government.
IAAP's core values are:

Respect: We create respect within our profession and association through listening, understanding and acknowledging our members.
Communication: We maintain excellence by remaining approachable at all levels, communicating openly and building strong relationships. Our goals are to develop learning opportunities for career-minded administrative professionals and to strengthen efficiency and effectiveness.
Mission: Enhancing the success of career-minded administrative professionals by providing opportunities for growth through education, community building and leadership development.
Objectives:
Education: Our monthly programs usually focus on professional development, and if you are interested in taking the Certified Professional Secretary® or Certified Administrative Professional® exams, we can offer you study material, study groups and mock exams.

If you found us while surfing and do not live in the Wichita area,
there are other chapters in Kansas. No chapter in your area? The Kansas Division board is hoping to increase the number of Kansas chapters. If you and other administrative professionals in your area are interested in learning more, we’d like to come to your town to tell you about the benefits of membership and how a chapter can be developed in your area.
The Minisa Chapter meets the first Thursday of every month, September through June, unless otherwise posted. Schedule the year now! We are a diverse group and would like for you to visit and see what Minisa Chapter has to offer you.
