Minisa Chapter Celebrates 70 Years!


Minisa members are very proud to be the third chapter to charter in the association, on March 5, 1942. Our sister chapter, Kaw Chapter in Topeka, was first to charter on February 11, 1942. At that time the association was known as the National Secretaries Association.

    Statement of Purpose

    Founded in 1942, the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) has approximately 28,000 members worldwide, uniting its members to:

    • Provide opportunities for professional growth and elevate secretarial/administrative assistant standards through continuing education.

    • Gain recognition for the role of the secretary/administrative assistant as a professional in the business community.

    • Promote self-confidence and leadership abilities in members through the exchange of ideas with other professionally-minded secretaries/administrative professionals.

    CHAPTER MEETINGS

    Chapter meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month, August through June. Meetings are held at the Spiritual Life Conference Center (7100 E 45th N) in Wichita and begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social and networking period.

    Dinner is served at 6 p.m., followed by an educational program.

    A short business meeting is conducted after the break.

    Guests are welcome to attend all programs and functions of the chapter, except the business portion of the May meeting, at which time officers are elected for the next year.

    Come visit us!
    The cost for the dinner and program is $13.50, program only is $4. Reservations are required. We ask that you contact us no later than noon on the Monday before the Thursday evening meeting.
