Minisa Chapter Celebrates 70 Years!


Minisa members are very proud to be the third chapter to charter in the association, on March 5, 1942. Our sister chapter, Kaw Chapter in Topeka, was first to charter on February 11, 1942. At that time the association was known as the National Secretaries Association.

    Welcome to Minisa Chapter – an IAAP Chapter of Excellence for 3 years running!

    In the first year of the Pathways to Excellence program, Minisa Chapter was awarded the Chapter of Excellence banner at the 2009 international Education Forum and Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN. During the Boston EFAM in 2010 the chapter was presented with the banner patch for achieving Chapter of Excellence status for the 2009-2010 year.

  • Minisa Chapter has been elevating the standards of administrative professionals since March 1942 and is proud to be the third chapter chartered in the association.

    What is IAAP?

    The International Association of Administrative Professionals is the largest professional association for office support staff, with over 40,000 members and affiliates worldwide. IAAP offers professional development, leadership training, networking opportunities, and CPS® / CAP® certification.

    Minisa Chapter is a thriving membership of office managers, administrative assistants, executive assistants, office coordinators, information specialists, etc., who live and work in Wichita or the outlying area of Sedgwick County, Kansas.

    Our members represent a cross-section of business and industry, ranging from education, finance, law and manufacturing, to health, real estate and service industries.

    Our chapter vision is:

    Our group consists of dedicated professionals committed to a continuous process of gaining and sharing knowledge.

    Chapter meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, August through June.

    IAAP is here to help you excel!

    Meetings are held at the Spiritual Life Conference Center, 7100 E 45th St N, in Bel Aire/Wichita and begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social and networking period.

    Dinner is served at 6 p.m., followed by an educational program.

    A short business meeting is conducted after the break.

    Guests are welcome to attend all programs and functions of Minisa Chapter, except the business portion of the May meeting, at which time officers are elected for the next year.
