|Fort Campbell Fisher House|
Providing a temporary "home away from home" where military families can be close to a loved one receiving medical treatment at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (and other local hospitals) for an illness or injury.
We provide a comfortable, beautifully decorated, accessible home, for up to eight families at minimal costs* to the family. Entering through the front door, you will find nice wide halls, a cozy library and ample dining room. The library is equipped with a gas fireplace, lots of books, comfy furniture, games & game table, a computer and all-in-one printer (compatible with tablets and smart phones). The dining room offers seating for twenty and includes a high chair. Our dream kitchen is open to the family room and boasts two ovens, two stoves, two microwaves, and a dishwasher. Our cabinets are well-stocked with supplies including pots & pans, small appliances, dishes, utensils and food! Personal food storage is provided for each family in the large center island. Just off the kitchen is a laundry room and pantry equipped with two washers and dryers and all laundry supplies. The family room boasts a 55" flat screen TV, xBox 360, Wii, smart BluRay/DVD player and plenty of games, movies and toys. Just outside is the patio with gas & charcoal grills and a private playground.
Families are provided one of our eight guest suites. Suites have a queen bed, a pair of double beds or a pair of twin beds. Other amenities include a dresser, chair, desk, phone, TV, VCR/DVD player, iron, extra linens, & free WiFi! Each room also has a private, accessible bathroom with hairdryer and a full assortment of toiletries. To see pictures of our home, view our photo album on Facebook.
For those that wish to get some exercise during their stay, there is a mile-long rubberized track around the hospital with workout stations scattered along the way.
If you don't have a car while here, no worries, many on post facilities are within walking distance - PX, commissary, theater, library, pool (indoor & outdoor), USO, bowling alley, post office, banking, etc...
