WELCOME TO FISHER HOUSE!

Our mission is to provide our service members and their Families a comfortable, nurturing and secure environment while they receive medical care at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH).

We have 8 beautifully decorated guest rooms, each with private bathroom. Four of our rooms have a queen bed and the other 4 are equipped with a pair of twin beds. Also included in each room is a phone w/voicemail, TV, VCR/DVD player, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, clothes basket, extra linens, games & movies. We also have airbeds available. We provide most toiletries - shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, tissue, cotton swabs, etc.... The house is setup with wireless internet and laptops (as well as other items) are available for checkout. We try our best to provide you with all the amenities of home.

All guests are encouraged to take advantage of the rest of the house. Common areas include the living, family and dining rooms as well as the kitchen, laundry room and patio. Our cozy living room with gas fireplace, comfy furniture, and game tables provide a great space for reading or meeting with friends & other visitors. The family room is equipped with a big screen TV, VCR/DVD player, and full toy box. Its open to the kitchen so the whole Family can spend time together while preparing a meal. Just outside the family room is the patio complete with outdoor furniture, playground, and grill. The patio is also equipped with an automatic awning.

We have a dream kitchen, with large center island, 2 ovens, 2 stoves, 2 microwaves, and dishwasher. Our cabinets are well-stocked with supplies including bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils and food! We also keep our large refrigerator and freezer well-stocked. Personal storage areas in the kitchen are also provided for each guest. Across the hall from the kitchen is the large dining room with seating for 16 - 20 people.

Just off the kitchen is a fully equipped laundry room and pantry. We have 2 washers and 2 dryers. Detergent and cleaning supplies are all provided.

At 7200 square feet and fully handicap accessible, we provide a comfortable “home away from home” that enables Families to stay together in a relaxed home atmosphere... because Family is good medicine!

*Currently, there are no costs associated with a stay at the Fort Campbell Fisher House.

ELIGIBILITY

We serve active duty, veterans, retirees and their Families who are actively receiving medical care at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH).

GETTING A ROOM

Referrals to the Fisher House are generally done through a case manager, hospital staff, or the Soldier's unit, however, you can call the house manager directly to discuss your situation and to check on room availability. When making referrals, please be aware that we are not staffed 24/7, therefore we do NOT allow check-ins after regular business hours (M-F 830 -1630) without advance notice. If you know arrival will take place after hours, weekends or on a holiday, you must pre-arrange check-in with the manager.

A referral is not a reservation! Rooms are available on a first-come basis, therefore, we recommend you have a back up plan for your lodging needs - please call a day or two before your expected arrival to make sure we still have a room for you. Each Family is limited to one room, maximum occupancy of 3 people (4 if small children). The Fisher House staff must know the name of everyone staying at the house. When making referrals on the Family's behalf, be sure to ask for the name of every person that will be staying here.

If you have a planned stay with us, please read through the house rules.

GETTING HERE

Fort Campbell sits on the stateline near Hopkinsville, Ky and Clarksville, Tn.  There is easy access to the post just off Interstate 24 exit 86.  Take Hwy 41A south.  If you don't have stickers on your vehicle, you will need to go to the Visitor's Center at Gate 4 to get a pass.  The driver will need a valid license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance and anyone over 18 will need a valid ID to enter the post.  Once you have received your pass, come through Gate 4 to the 2nd stop light.  You will make a left at the light onto Bastogne, continue to the next light and turn right onto Air Assault (there are signs directing you to us).

If you have stickers on your vehicle, you may come in at Gate 3 (with military ID), continue through the light and we'll be on your right at the main hospital entrance on Air Assault Street.

Its just a short 2 minute walk to the hospital, making it easy to visit your loved one or get to your appointments without having to travel on/off post.

OUR LIMITATIONS

Our staff and volunteers are here to provide you with a comfortable stay. We can provide information & referral to programs and agencies that may be of assistance to you. However, please realize that we are not a treatment facility, hospice or counseling center nor are our staff and volunteers trained to provide these services.

CARING BRIDGE

It can be difficult to keep friends and Family updated on your loved one's condition in the hospital. CaringBridge is a service that helps you with that responsibility. It gives you the ability to create a web journal in which you can quickly alert Family and friends of the latest information regarding your loved one's well-being. This is a free service sponsored by the Fisher House Foundation. Bridge the gap between you and friends and Family. It's simple to set up, and it's easy to update.
